WHEN TRYING TO STOP MY 1998 LEXUS LS 400 IN MY GARAGE THIS MORNING, THE CAR SURGED FORWARD. I SLAMMED THE BRAKES ON EVEN HARDER AND THE CAR SURGED EVEN MORE FORWARD. THE WHEELS WERE SPINNING AND I FINALLY GOT THE CAR TOTALLY STOPPED. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AFTER THE INCIDENT AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG. *NM

Owner report 11533571 · 2023-07-21 (July 21, 2023)

I brought my car to Kendall Lexus for repairs as well as a recall on the starter solenoid. They charged me about $1,200 for these repairs, including the installation of a new starter. Unfortunately, the newly installed starter failed within a month of its replacement, causing significant inconvenience and safety concerns. Upon discovering the issue, I immediately contacted Kendall Lexus to report the problem. They agreed to have the car towed back to their dealership for further inspection and resolution. However, instead of taking responsibil…

Owner report 10315391 · 2010-02-26 (February 26, 2010)

I PURCHASED A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2006 LEXUS 430, INCLUDING 2 ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES, FROM LEXUS CHANDLER IN MAY 2009 UPON WHICH I EXPERIENCE AN INABILITY TO START AND UNLOCK THE STEERING WHEEL EIGHT TIMES WITHIN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS AND INTERMITTENTLY MONTHS AFTER. IF I SIT FOR AN HOUR THE SYSTEM WILL UNLOCK ITSELF AND WILL START. DEALER REFUSES TO INVOLVE ITSELF AND CLAIMS IT IS UNABLE TO REPAIR. I TOOK TO ANOTHER DEALER WHICH STATED THEY COULD DISCONNECT THE ANTI-LOCK MECHANISM BUT THEN THE CAR WOULD NOT HAVE ANY SECURITY FUNCTIONS. I HAVE…

I OWN A 2006 LEXUS LS430, WHICH I'VE HAD SINCE NEW. IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 70K MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED SOLELY AT LEXUS DEALERSHIP WHERE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN RALEIGH NC. NO MALFUNCTION INDICATORS APPEARED ON THE DASH BEFORE OR AFTER THIS. MY VEHICLE HAD AT LEAST 10 GALLONS OF FUEL IN THE TANK AS IT INDICATES ABOUT ⅝ FULL. I WAS ABLE TO REST…

Owner report 11533848 · 2023-07-22 (July 22, 2023)

Sometimes, the car's RPM goes up to 4 and stays there as the car is unable to shift into the next gear. So, the car is not really accelerating at times when this happens. I have to pull over and turn off the car and start it again and sometimes it works correctly and at other times it doesn't. I've started to get check engine lights from time to time that point to solenoid issues. This makes driving this car very dangerous as this issue happens randomly.
