The vehicle reports use the NHTSA datasets and APIs, including the published complaint and recall bulk files. NHTSA is the primary source. Vehicle Signal is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with NHTSA or vehicle manufacturers.

Consumer complaints are unverified submissions. Bulk files can differ from live NHTSA vehicle pages. Source files contain U.S. vehicle records; international recall coverage is not included. Owner narratives are attributed to their ODI numbers and should not be treated as independently confirmed findings.

News items use the official IIHS RSS feed and contain only a headline, a short feed-provided excerpt and a link to the originating publisher. No paywalled articles are scraped.
