Owner report 11454596 · 2022-02-28 (February 28, 2022)

As the vehicle was braking to a stop the rear motors began chattering. The vehicle stopped and gave multiple error messages including "Shift System Fault" and "Stop Vehicle Safely." It locked the parking brake and could not be moved. It was stuck in the road and could not be driven or pushed out of traffic. It was a hazard to the occupants and other drivers on the road. There was no indication before this failure occurred. The dealer was able to confirm that the error codes had occurred but could not reproduce the failure and made no specific …

Owner report 11421384 · 2021-06-18 (June 18, 2021)

While driving on a mountain pass, my 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicle lost all regenerative braking which, due to the downhill grade, caused a sudden and shocking increase in speed, played warning chimes, and displayed "Stop Safely Now" and "1-Pedal Drive Fault Press Brake Pedal To Reduce Speed" and lost all drive power, forcing me to coast to a stop on the side of the mountain, in an area without cellular coverage to call for help. The vehicle did not restart and would not shift out of Park in 5 attempts to restart. After 10 minutes on the side of …

Owner report 11440157 · 2021-11-11 (November 11, 2021)

Second time in less than two weeks: Vehicle started making grinding noise, and a warning came up on the screen SHIFT SYSTEM FAULT, service soon. But the car came to a halt a hundred feet later, then would not get in or out of any gear, parking brake could not be released, vehicle could not get into Neutral so not able to push or roll it. I was barely able to get out of an intersection today (Nov 11), and rolled into a parking area on Oct 30 with the same fault. After about a half hour, vehicle could be moved but would show the fault shortly aft…

Owner report 11462003 · 2022-04-25 (April 25, 2022)

While driving around a curve, my car lost all power and went completely dark. I didn't have brakes, steering, lights or any other functions. My car was completely bricked. This happened before daylight and I didn't have emergency flashers to notify other drivers I was stopped on the side of the road. After waiting for 6 hours for a tow truck, I went and tried to find the problem myself. I found a loose connection. It was the main power feed supplying the fuse box. Once I tightened it up, I was able to start and drive the car. I've attached a p…

Owner report 11472707 · 2022-07-07 (July 7, 2022)

The HVBJB subassembly in ALL Ford Mach-e vehicles has known defects with 'under-designed' main contactors that are known to fail under normal charging and driving conditions as outlined in current open Ford recall notice for my vehicle 22s41. Unfortunately, the internal damage to contactors is not visible externally, and warning notices on display only after damage has occurred, and can result in sudden loss of propulsion power at highway speed, loss of power steering, and power brakes... and failure of other 12v systems due to failure to charg…

Owner report 11460737 · 2022-04-14 (April 14, 2022)

Drove my fully charged Mustang Mach E(MME) from TN to my daughter's school and to a local dealership to have some aftermarket wheels/tires installed (20 miles in total). Upon parking the vehicle in their service lane, I turned the vehicle off and handed them the keys. They get in the vehicle and try to turn it on and tell me "the vehicle won't turn on". I get in the vehicle myself and sure enough, the main dash display, screen display, transmission lights, etc are not working at all. After 7+ hours of trying to diagnose, there is apparently…
