FIRESTONE SUPREME SI P235/75R15 105S M&S TIRE HAD COMPLETE TREAD SEPARATION. LEFT FRONT TIRE AFFECTED. LUCKILY ONLY GOING ABOUT 30 MPH AT TIME ON A CITY STREET. JUST GOT OFF OF FREEWAY GOING 60 MPH! BADLY DAMAGED LEFT FRONT INNER WHEEL WELL. TIRE REMAINED INFLATED AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE OFF ROAD TO SAFETY. ON APRIL 17TH, 2001,I PURCHASED A 1989 CHEVY GMC FOR $4,200 AFTER LEAVING A $100 CASH DEPOSIT THE DAY BEFORE. I PAID $3,000 CASH AND $1,129 IN A CHECK. I DROVE THAT TRUCK FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS. I KEPT HEARING A RATTLE. IT SOUNDED LIKE THE TRUCK WAS GOING TO THROW A ROD. I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD DREW THE SITUATION. THE VALVE COVER GASKETS LEAK AND PRESENT FIRE HAZARDS. THE VALVE COVERS ARE POOR DESIGN AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE GASKETS REPLACED ALL THE TIME. THE FUEL INJECTOR LINES ARE ATTACHED TO THE VALVE COVERS AND HAVE TO BE REMOVED ALONG WITH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. *AK
