The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that the battery was charged to 50 percent. The contact went to the charging station, but the vehicle failed to charge after two hours. The contact drove to another charging station and received a charge now message to slow down, and the vehicle shut down. The CCS charging door does not stay closed/locked after closing it from charging session. I opened the charger door to charge the vehicle at a charging station. Once the charge was completed, I closed the charging door. Went home and noticed the door was open.

The front center counsel which contains the USB and 12 volt charging ports comes off the car’s body and exposes the wires. This can lead to people getting electrocuted and hazardous for kids.

The backup camera at night is practically black. I find many people complaining about this online, but no fix. It is dangerous to back that car up at night!!! There must be a fix before someone gets hurt. Either upgrade the camera or upgrade the backup lighting

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the power steering feature became inoperable. The contact was unsure if a warning light was illuminated. The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while attempting to make a left or right turn, there was an abnormal sound coming from the front passenger’s side axle. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the axle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline by the manufacturer to report the failure. The failure mileage was 100.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while reversing at night or in the dark, the rear-view camera image was extremely dark, making the image very difficult to see. The contact stated that the failure created a visibility hazard for the driver. The local dealer was notified of the failure. 26V306000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera
Reported: 2026-05-14 (May 14, 2026)
American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.
