Owner report 11587562 · 2024-05-07 (May 7, 2024)

After driving this new car for about 18 miles and stopping for an errand, upon restarting an error message posted “brake system failure” do not drive faster than 43 mph and use the brake pedal to stop. Upon driving the brake pedal went nearly to the floor and had to be pumped to gain brake cylinder pressure sufficient to slow the car using extreme pedal pressure. After shutting off the vehicle, the braking system work normally upon restart. When delivered to the dealership the issue reoccurred. The Prologue has been at the dealership for repair…

Owner report 11632048 · 2024-12-22 (December 22, 2024)

On Dec. 19 the infotainment system and the instrument panels both went blank. I was driving away from my home. I touched a button on the steering wheel that controls the content of the screen that is the main instrument panel. The heads up display failed as well. The car kept running, but I could see any information such as my speed, my battery level or any of the other usual information. I could not reboot the system by myself when I called the dealership, but they said that after I handed it over to them, that it was rebooting. I took it…

Owner report 11636503 · 2025-01-17 (January 17, 2025)

HondaLink app has major defects which impact safety and operation of the vehicle. Locking and unlocking the doors via the app doesn't work half the time. This causes a safety issue to access the vehicle if my keys are not readily available. Additionally the app notifies me that my charging is complete on the vehicle when it in fact is not charged to the set charging level. This could cause issues with operation of the vehicle if someone stops charging when receiving this notification. This could cause the vehicle to not have sufficient battery …

Owner report 11640782 · 2025-02-05 (February 5, 2025)

I was driving on the freeway when a few error lights came on, the Reduced Acceleration, Propulsion System Icon, and a turtle icon on the dashboard and I had to floor the accelerator pedal to maintain my speed. I then pulled over, and the vehicle wouldn’t shift into drive or reverse. It gave an error message saying “conditions not meet.” Eventually, the car started working again. This is an ongoing issue with the car and Honda doesn’t want to do a buyback, this car is a lemon. I keep taking it to the dealer and all they do is clear the codes and …

Owner report 11642703 · 2025-02-14 (February 14, 2025)

When accelerating from a stop, knocking clicking noises can be heard. At first, it was only while making a left turn, but now it can be heard when turning in either direction or going straight. It only happens at low speeds. This puts my safety and the safety of others at risk because a failure could result in loss of power to the wheel and/or control of the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and at first, I was told it here was no fix. I was also told it was normal for this vehicle. I completed a survey about my experience w…

Owner report 11644057 · 2025-02-21 (February 21, 2025)

On 2/16/2025, I was slowly (maybe 5mph or slower) backing out of an Electric vehicle charging stall. Rain was falling lightly. The AEB system activated more than five times in a span of 60 seconds. The vehicle thought there was an obstruction in my path, even though there was no vehicle behind me or in front of me. There was a vehicle that was parked in the other stall charging.
