After driving this new car for about 18 miles and stopping for an errand, upon restarting an error message posted “brake system failure” do not drive faster than 43 mph and use the brake pedal to stop. Upon driving the brake pedal went nearly to the floor and had to be pumped to gain brake cylinder pressure sufficient to slow the car using extreme pedal pressure. Honda requires Prologue owners to use the Honda Link app in order to obtain warranty information, use credits, access features - but most importantly and the largest issue is we can’t get critical software updates for the vehicle because we can’t access the Honda Link app. We have submitted all of this information and have an open case with Honda (case #14996478) for the past 7 weeks with no resolution to this issue - since the day we leased the vehicle. Honda states this is an issue to be addressed by a contracted IT team, but so far does not …

26V112000 · Electrical System: Instrument Cluster/Panel | Back Over Prevention:Software

Reported: 2026-02-26 (February 26, 2026)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 Acura ZDX and Prologue vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. Additionally, a software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."

Consequence: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle radio control module software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 22, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are TNL and XNK. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning March 4, 2026.
