On four occasions now, the car slammed on the brakes as if the collision detection system was going off. Someone did almost hit me from behind as they needed to slam on their brakes due to my cars collision system going off when not supposed to. This has been well documented with Cadillac and the leased vehicle has been back in the shop 4 months out of the year we owned it. The AEB system engaged when it should not have with no obstructions on [XXX] . I violently jerked, I thought I hit something but did not. The safety of myself and a person following me would have been been compromised. If someone was closer to me in the rear they would have hit me. Driving to a local car wash, I stopped at a traffic light. When I tried to accelerate the transmission warning and power reduction waring flashed on HUD. I could not drive or place the car in reverse, the car had lost all its mobility. I had to let the car coast downhill to pull the car to the side of a busy street. I was fortunate this did not happen on a congested highway, but regardless the inability to move a car off a busy street is an extreme safety hazard. This is my second Cadillac XT 4 in two years and both have experienced the same thing. As I'm driving and come to a light to stop, the entire vehicle system goes black and cuts off. This has happened to me know 4 times, were the vehicle becomes disable in the middle of the road, during heavy traffic and almost hit several times from the rear. Car suddenly stopped while driving and would not start and stalled. Tried to restart multiple times with failed to restart. Car cranked but did not start after multiple attempts. There were no warning signs or indication before stall. Luckily, incident happened in parking lot way out from it. Traffic behind had to steer to other lane to maneuver. Had three different incidents: 1st occurrence was at a red light and vehicle stalled and would not restart. Jumped the vehicle and went on my way. 2nd time was traveling at 40 mph and engine killed. Jumped it again and it started. 3rd time vehicle was parked and would not start. Had it towed to dealership. They determined it was a bad fuel pump power module. This is a dangerous reoccurring issue with the Cadillac XT4 which demands a recall!

On June 13th 2024, and on July 30th 2024, while driving on highway my Cadillac XT4 suddenly jerked forward as if I had been struck from behind by another vehicle. The vehicle seemed to have lost all power and appeared to stall in the lanes of the highway. This created a very dangerous situation, causing vehicles behind me to swerve in order to avoid a collision. While driving the car rapidly decelerated along with loss to steering control.The engine essentially shutdown and would not accelerate past 30 MPH with full force. While driving the vehicle on 01 May 2025, the car rapidly decelerated from over 60MPH to under 30 MPH in an instant. The car would not go over 30MPH. I was getting out of a parking lot with my 3 kids and the car shut off right in the middle of the entrance/exit of the lot blocking anyone from coming in or out.
