Owner report 11040031 · 2017-10-26 (October 26, 2017)

WHILE DRIVING ON A CLEAR STRETCH OF INTERSTATE (NOT NEAR AN UNDERPASS OR TRUCKS OR OTHER CARS) THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. IT MADE A SOUND LIKE A GUN, GLASS CAME INTO THE CAR BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE SHADE CLOSED. THERE WAS NO INDICATION ANYTHING HIT THE SUNROOF. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND INFINITI COVERED THE REPAIR UNDER THE WARRANTY. UPON INVESTIGATION THIS ISSUE APPEARS TO BE SYSTEMIC IN NEWER VEHICLES. IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING TO MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND MYSELF. WE WERE NOT INJURED AND THE LOCAL INFINITI DEALER STATED THAT HAVE NEVE…

9-20-2017 APPROXIMATELY 4PM, 90 DEG SUNNY DAY, DRIVING 2017 INFINITI QX60 ON INTERSTATE WHEN SUNROOF EXPLODED. NO OVERPASS OR TRUCK IN AREA WHERE FAILURE OCCURRED. THIS WAS MY FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THIS FAILURE. LOUD NOISE AT TIME OF FAILURE. PHOTOS TAKEN LATER. VEHICLE TAKEN TO INFINITI DEALER FOR REPAIR THE FOLLOWING DAY. SUNROOF REPLACED. I HAVE $1000 DEDUCTIBLE INSURANCE SO I ELECTED TO PAY THE $1319.22 BILL FROM MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT SINCE WARRANTY REPLACEMENT WAS NOT OFFERED. I LATER APPEALED THE EXPENSE AS A WARRANTY FAILURE AFTER S…

Owner report 11051454 · 2017-11-30 (November 30, 2017)

I HAVE A 2017 INFINITI QX60 WITH EVERY POSSIBLE SAFETY ADD-ON. I HAVE A SAFETY CONCERN ABOUT MY NEW VEHICLE. THE LED HEADLIGHTS DO NOT PROJECT VERY FAR IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, AT ALL. UNLIKE STANDARD HEADLIGHTS THAT HAVE A SPRAY OF LIGHT THAT DIMINISHES THE FARTHER AWAY THEY GO THIS VEHICLE HAS A DEFINITE LINE THAT IT IS COMPLETELY BLACK IN FRONT OF THE LIGHT OF THE HEADLIGHTS. UNLIKE MY OLD MERCEDES, THEY DO NOT ADJUST FOR THE TERRAIN OF THE ROAD. IF YOU ARE GOING DOWNHILL THEY ONLY PROJECT, MAYBE 50 FEET IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THERE …

Owner report 11067019 · 2018-02-05 (February 5, 2018)

I LEASED A LOADED QX60 FROM SAWGRASS INFINITI. ONE OF THE FEATURES OF THE CAR WAS A 120V PLUG IN THE SECOND ROW WITH A MAX 150W RATING. THIS WAS A KEY FEATURE FOR US AS OUR SON HAS A CONDITION THAT REQUIRES A BREATHING MACHINE TO BE PLUGGED IN SO HE CAN RECEIVE MEDICATION EACH DAY WHILE IN THE CAR. AS IT TURNS OUT, THE VOLTAGE ON THE OUTLET MAY BE 120V, BUT THE RATING IS DEFINITELY NOT CORRECT. AFTER A MINUTE OF WORKING, THE OUTLET SHUTS OFF. AND THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER, IT MIGHT COME BACK ON FOR A MINUTE OR SO. I TESTED THE MACHINE AND …

Owner report 11096805 · 2018-05-18 (May 18, 2018)

2 TIMES NOW IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS WHILE USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL THE CAR DECIDED TO TAKE OFF. I WATCHED THE CRUISE SPEED GO FROM 70 TO 80 WITHOUT ANY INPUT AND THE CAR ROCKETED TO 100 MILES AND HOUR. BRAKING WOULD SLOW IT DOWN BUT AS SOON AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE IT WOULD SPEED UP. I TRIED TURNING THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF AND THAT DIDN'T STOP IT. I CYCLED IT ON AND OFF ABOUT 5 TIMES BUT IT KEPT SPEEDING UP. MY WIFE TOLD ME TO TURN THE CRUISE BACK ON AND LEAVE IT AND THAT IS WHEN IT FINALLY STOPPED. SHE TOLD THIS SAME INCIDENT HAPPENED…

Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

18V601000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Antilock/Traction Control/Electronic Limited Slip

Reported: 2018-09-07 (September 7, 2018)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Nissan Murano, 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima, 2017-2018 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2017 Infiniti QX60 vehicles. The Anti-Lock Brake (ABS) actuator pumps may allow brake fluid to leak onto an internal circuit board.

Consequence: A brake fluid leak on the circuit board may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the serial number on the ABS actuator, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began October 29, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Note: When brake fluid has leaked onto the circuit board, the ABS warning lamp will remain illuminated for more than 10 seconds after engine start up. If this occurs, owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors away from other vehicles or structures and to not drive the vehicle.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ABS actuator, free of charge. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available, currently expected to be during summer 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669.
