Thankfully we are alive. We were going at speed and he attempted to pass me on the median, grass and rumble strips. He was inches away from my rear bumper, riding me. When I put the turn signal to move away from him he hit my driver’s side rear panel (side swiped), thank God it didn't turn into a pit maneuver and killed us. He then proceeded to take off. The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving 42 MPH, the vehicle experienced phantom sudden braking. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact disengaged the brake assist feature; however, the feature independently reactivated. The dealer was contacted and informed about the failure but offered no assistance. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 19,000.

While on the highway my car (2022 Tucson Hybrid) lost almost all power while I was driving. I was approaching traffic and started to slow down. The battery light illuminated red and the car was jerking backing forth cutting power and juddering while I was slowing down. Speed control on steering wheel not responding all the time. When car is on cruise control speed instead or decrease control not responding all the time. 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue Issue: no power /accelerator response from slow speed. Since 4/23- 9 instances involving this issue none resulted in crashes but did result in near misses and 2 cases coasting off the edge of the road to avoid being hit. 6 of the instances happened when attempting a left turn in traffic at an intersection. 3 of the instances involved when trying to enter a traffic circle(turning right). When driving my car at any speed it will suddenly begin to get sluggish then it becomes unresponsive to me giving it gas and starts to decelerate. While traveling out of town, our 2023 Tuscon HEV with 31,000k started chugging/hesitating during acceleration. This chugging continued to worsen, so we took it to a Hyundai dealership to diagnose. We were told that fuel injector #3 was misfiring, and, as they did not have the parts in stock, that it would be safe to make the 5 hour drive back home to service the vehicle.
