I was driving to work taking the same route I have since I purchased the vehicle when I lost acceleration on the road. I was unable to go above 40 MPH and I had the gas pedal pressed all the way to the floor. I was going uphill and the lack of acceleration could have caused an accident if there was not enough space behind me and the vehicle behind me.

Two times in the last two weeks of March and about 10 times since we purchased the vehicle new in December 2022, after starting the vehicle and backing out of our garage onto our street, then stopping then shifting from reverse to drive and going no faster than 15-20 mph for about 300 yards, the Tucson revs up to about 3ooo-3500 rpm and will not shift into second gear. After about 1 minute or so it seems ok. But until then the transmission does not shift smoothly like it did the first six weeks of ownership. It did not operate like this until a…

My son was backing out of a parking spot at a strip mall. He released some pressure on the brake and indicated that the car lurched backwards and even though he reapplied full pressure to the brakes, he hit the car at the curb resulting in damage to our Tucson, but luckily not the to the other car. The Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist system did not engage, but my son indicated that the rear distance warning system did beep. Unknown what fails. After driving approximately 30 minutes on a highway, car suddenly stops accelerating and bucks a bit as it slows. Must turn off car and turn it back on to accelerate again. Happens on the highway frequently. Very dangerous as there’s no way to accelerate. Only stop. It’s like it can’t find a gear and the engine revs. It happened 6 times during a 2.5 hour drive.

AC system is not functioning properly. Having the car on for 20 minutes, Ac system does not kick in allowing the car to cool properly. This happens when Temps are above 95 degrees. This is an issue as it could lead to someone passing out as someone is driving a car. As the Temps of outside and inside of the car compound as the cabin can't cool down. Serious issue as a car should cool down with 5 to 10 minutes. Car rarely blows cold air and ahould not be operated in hot environments.

My suv is a hybrid. I slowed down before making a right turn to check if it was clear before continuing with the turn. I see one car and its pretty far away. My gas engine switch off to go into EV. I step on the gas and my suv goes no where for about 5 seconds. Now the car down the street is approaching me fast. Finally the gas engine kicks on my suv started moving. The other car honk and went around me.
