Owner report 11420244 · 2021-06-09 (June 9, 2021)
I bought a new 2021 F-150 Powerboost exactly 60 days ago, drove approximately 1500 miles until I completely lost brakes on the car almost causing an accident. I brought the car over to the dealer Cross-Roads Ford of APEX and after one day with my truck, they diagnosed the issue, made software updates to all modules, and returned the car. I got the car and within 5 minutes from the dealer, lost brakes again and had to manage to stop the vehicle... Returned to the dealer and it's in for diagnosis again but they asked me to contact Ford. This is n…

Owner report 11421507 · 2021-06-19 (June 19, 2021)
When slowing down the truck lurches forward when going back into electric and/or gas mode, and has nearly caused my truck to collide with the vehicle in front of me. The truck will pick up speed when slowing down, as when downshifting and switching out/in electric to gas mode it propels the truck forward even while firmly pressing the brake.

Axel bolt sheared off for rear drivers Axel. Only part holding tire on was break rotor and caliper. The dealer found during a routine oil change/tire rotation. The only symptoms was shifting hard when driving, and slight rattle when driving as the bolt head was caught in the wheel center.

Owner report 11427976 · 2021-08-06 (August 6, 2021)
I purchased a new Hybtid 2021 Platinum Ford F-150 in March. On Wednesday, August 5th, I reported to Ford I received a warning light “your charging system required service soon.” Since I had the truck serviced one week before, I contacted the dealer and the earliest they could see me was next Tuesday. ( specialist has to work on the truck). Since I was out of town located in Boone, NC, I went to their local Ford dealer and reported my problem. The earliest they could see me was one week from now. I drove the truck for two days with no additional…

Owner report 11434216 · 2021-09-24 (September 24, 2021)
On several occasions while waiting in an intersection to make a left turn, the vehicle loses power or something. I can put the pedal to the floor and I get no response from the vehicle. Eventually after stepping on gas the truck seems to reimage and go. The only problem is I have nearly been T-Boned thinking I will have the power to make a left turn before oncoming traffic gets to me. I suspect it has something to do with the electrical power is trying to switch to engine power and something is failing. I have no confidence in this truck anymor…

Owner report 11488926 · 2022-10-12 (October 12, 2022)
I took my 2021 F150 Powerboost with Max Tow package into the Ford dealership for service and to inspect a noise coming from the driverside rear wheel. When the wheel was removed the source of the noise was confirmed as a sheered-off axle retaining bolt. I was told by the service department the truck was unsafe to drive. I am unsure if this nut holds on the wheel hub assembly but I'm guessing it could lead to loss of power in the affected drivewheel or loss of the wheel altogether. Upon doing some internet research this is quite a common issue…

Owner report 11536209 · 2023-08-03 (August 3, 2023)
The axle bolt on both rear wheel hubs has sheared about 1/2 inch down the bolt. This led to the gradual loss of power to the effected wheel hub causing unpredictable handling characteristics as the interface between the axle and the wheel hub degrades due to the fastener being sheared off.

Owner report 11436013 · 2021-10-08 (October 8, 2021)
The contact's father owned a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his father was driving at 75-80 MPH on self-driving mode, the electronic steering wheel inadvertently locked, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and the vehicle crashed into an exit sign on the interstate. The air bags deployed. Then, the vehicle accelerated uncontrollably 260 yards and crashed into a tree where the vehicle came to a stop. A police report was filed. The contact stated his father sustained injuries and was transported out of the vehicle to the ho…

Owner report 11465673 · 2022-05-22 (May 22, 2022)
When Blue Cruise is activated and the vehicle takes a semi sharp turn it does not straighten back out and attempts to continue into oncoming traffic. Does not seem to happen on the interstate, I believe its because the curves are not as sharp. This is a frequent issue that happens continuously. Brought it to the attention of the dealer when I had the recall performed. They recommended a tech ride with me to reproduce it, but it was not offered at time of pickup. You can completely take over steering, but there is resistance. I just want this to…

Owner report 11741724 · 2026-06-03 (June 3, 2026)
At a stoplight the truck began running rough. When the light turned green, the truck failed in just 3 blocks (approximately 1 minute). Power was greatly reduced. Check engine illuminated on dashboard, then another red icon, followed by a stop safely now message. Immediately I attempted to pull over from the left lane to the right lane but the truxk Immediately stalled across both lanes, blocking all traffic. Ford dealer has ordered a new fuel pump and the repair is pending.

Owner report 11751190 · 2026-07-17 (July 17, 2026)
On July 15, 2026, I took the vehicle to Lafontaine Ford for maintenance and to address open recalls. I was informed that the open recall for the low-pressure fuel pump (campaign 25S75) did not have a solution available. Due to the severity of the recall, I contacted the Ford Customer Care Center. A representative stated that a solution would be available on July 17, 2026, and that they would contact Lafontaine Ford to prioritize the vehicle for repair on July 18, 2026. On July 17, 2026, I followed up with Lafontaine Ford and confirmed they had…
