While stopped at an intersection my truck lost all electrical power. a couple of seconds later the dash lights came on saying that the vehicle did not have any brakes or brake assist. Then while the vehicle was still in drive it started. due to the brakes not working the vehicle jerked forward. I put the car in neutral. Owner report 11552032 · 2023-10-26 (October 26, 2023)

2023 Silverado 1500 3.0 Duramax. Transmission failure and engine overheating at 5k miles. I was towing a trailer when the 1st transmission failure occurred. The engine shut off, and said shift to N to start while coasting with loss of power braking. I was able to get started but transmission would slip when shifting above 1st gear. I had to tow to the nearest level point to safely park the vehicle, for fear of rolling backwards down 8% grade. At that point the computer was showing engine overheat loss of power warnings. GM roadside assistance t…

On June 16, 2024, my vehicle stalled on a 70 mph interstate. I was able to get to the side and attempt to restart. After ten minutes, the vehicle restarted and I received a message of "Low Battery". I drove it immediately to the dealership and advised service. The next day I called the dealership for a status update and was advised the engine seized. The vehicle had 3,212 miles on it at the time. The dealership ultimately received permission to replace the engine which took about three and a half weeks. The vehicle is simply not the same…

THEN PROCEEDING TO PARK AT LOW SPEED AND TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL TO PARK-IT SEEMS LIKE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGES AND CAR ACCELERATES. IT ONLY HAPPEN A FEW TIMES -5 SO FAR- ONLY HAS ABOUT 9000 MILES. APPLYING BRAKE DISENGAGES THE PROBLEM. NO INCIDENTS OCCURRED, BUT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEM.

Owner report 11633257 · 2024-12-30 (December 30, 2024)

I was driving and received a check engine light with “Service ESC” and traction control was disabled. Performed diagnostics and found P0300, P0304 and P0204 all relating to cylinder 4 misfire and injector issues on cylinder 4. Truck has just over 47,000 miles and may be related to the lifter issues that plague this engine design.

Owner report 11678161 · 2025-08-04 (August 4, 2025)

The fuel pump went out, left me stranded and was replaced The transmission went out and was replaced. The lifters in the engine were replaced. When will the engine recall be addressed/acted on? The "cure" to install heavier engine oil is a very bad "bandaid"....truly masks the problem. Maybe the Chevy CEO should return her 2024 $25mm bonus to help pay for the repairs.
