Owner report 11490839 · 2022-10-25 (October 25, 2022)

Car applied emergency braking when it should not have (and could have caused an accident)! Details: Driving approx 20 mph in traffic on highway in Houston. Approx 3-4 car lengths behind vehicle in front of me. There were cars to the left and right of us, .. they were staying within their lanes. For no apparent reason, the automatic braking system applied the brakes. The four of us in the car were jerked forward. Luckily the driver behind us was not tail-gating, or we would have been rear-ended. Note: This was a National rental ca…

Owner report 11453397 · 2022-02-22 (February 22, 2022)

What component or system failure or malfunction, and is it available for inspection upon request? AUTO STOP/START-POSSIBLE TRANSMISSION How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk?- The issue is the AutoStop feature and the transmission. When driving, it appears that the gears are not shifting correctly; also, while driving, the RPM has reached a high level of 5 multiple times, which is now a cause for concern. My minor son and I were driving today, and an 18 wheeler started veering into our lane. When I sped up to move over to the…

Owner report 11471857 · 2022-06-30 (June 30, 2022)

My vehicle still has a delay or hesitation with the shifting of gears while driving, causing a loss of power. At random times the vehicle has lost power while driving. Additionally, when the vehicle is turned off, there is a loud noise (knocking) coming from the front of the vehicle. Also, while driving there has been a burning smell. The vehicle is again scheduled for repair of the persistent issues that GM-certified specialists say the issues could not be duplicated. Recently the infotainment center blacked out after being the software updat…

Owner report 11683092 · 2025-08-26 (August 26, 2025)

Telematics module drained my battery mid drive. Car shut off on highway. Module malfunctioned and caused safety features to malfunction. After communication with Dealership, OnStar, ultimately GM refuses to issue a recall on the module. This is a NATIONWIDE issue with GM Telematics Module. Warranty will not cover the module on any of these vehicles. Someone is going to sustain serious bodily injury or maybe even die eventually if this issue isn’t resolved. Dealerships are telling drivers it is ok to drive like this. My car shut off on me twice.…

Owner report 11519556 · 2023-04-29 (April 29, 2023)

The Buick died due to a fuel pump control module. This happened in a busy intersection. We were unable to force car into neutral so it could be pushed out of traffic . Ninth minutes later a tow truck showed up and had to drag car onto roll back. We have exhausted attempts with GM and its dealers and no answers. I also have a 2021 Gmc pickup with push button start and same problem. This is a major safety problem and a danger to driver and passenger .

Owner report 11670721 · 2025-07-02 (July 2, 2025)

I started the car. Backed out of my driveway. Put into drive. The car stalled I shifted to park tried to restart. It wouldn’t. At that point I tried to put car into neutral I couldn’t. There is no way to shift this car into neutral. ( I checked with service department at gmdealer). This alone is dangerous the car cannot be moved. Anyway the car was towed to a dealer who fixed it. It was th fuel pump power module. The dealer and tow truck driver both told me this happens at least 5 times a week. There is no recall on this. My biggest con…
