2024 Honda CR-V: complaints, problems and recalls

Lane keeping/departure function could easily lead to an accident IMO. 1. Operation is either somewhat random, or uses complex rules to determine how to behave in differing circumstances, making it feel unpredictable. 2. Steering correction force can last too long, resulting in over-correction (could push you into oncoming traffic). 3. "Normal" setting is virtually useless, no correction until one is almost half into opposing lane. 4. On a road with no outside line, the feature could easily push the car off the road.

The Reverse camera unit is turning black and white often (while randomly it's switching to color). The sudden change in the image coloring is distracting me a lot while I'm driving. The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 75-80 MPH, the contact rear-ended another vehicle in front. The air bags did not deploy. The impact caused soreness in her chest and lower back; however, medical attention was not received. A police report was filed. DRIVER SIDE MIRROR VIBRATES WHILE DRIVING

The car makes loud noise when the speed was about 50-60 MPH on a highway, the RPM went above 50 - 75. It wouldn't accelerate as I pushed the gas pedal. It's not moving as required. It was scary. It's dangerous. Something is wrong with the system, or transmission. Please fix it. Thanks.

Primarily at higway speeds, there is a slight binding/resistance that has to be overcomed when making a small steering correction when turning the steering wheel slightly to the right. Dealer turned off all driving assisted computer programs and said problem fixed. The problem still exsists. The steering movement is no entirely free.

For months, the infotainment screen has flashed on and off or delayed in coming on after vehicle has started. The delay would take minutes or hours and eventually became days. Now the screen has been completely blank for about two weeks now. You can hear the radio and adjust it with the steering wheel controls but cannot adjust it with the volume control on the infotainment center. Honda (America Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 CR-V vehicles. The tire identification number (TIN) is missing the four-digit date code. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."

Consequence: An owner whose TIN information is missing may not recognize that their vehicle is involved in a safety recall and continue to drive on recalled tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 27, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is BIS.

Reported: 2024-10-03 (October 3, 2024)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

Consequence: Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.
