FIRESTONE STEELTEX TIRES BLOW-OUT WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY. *BF THE CONSUMER REPLACED ALL 6 TIRES ON HER WINNEBAGO MOTORHOME AND SAW THAT FIRESTONE RECALLED THE EXACT TIRE SHE HAD BLOW OUT. IN CALLING TO BE REIMBURST FOR THE MONEY SHE SPENT REPLACING THE TIRES FIRESTONE WOULD NOT HONOR THE CONSUMERS COMPLAINT BECAUSE THE RECALL WAS FOR THE TIRES INSTALLED ON THE FORD EXCURSION SAYING IT COULD NOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD MOTOR HOME. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V336000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE DEALER HAD THE PART. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PART WAS IN A KIT AND THEY COULD INSTALL IT, BUT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO BE CHARGED. HE CANNOT HAVE THE SWITCH DISCONNECTED BECAUSE HE IS DISABLED. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE ENGINE SIZE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
