MOTOR HOME HAD TWO SEPARATE TREAD SEPARATIONS: INCIDENT 1 WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH COACHMAN CATALINA 2001, ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT, TIRE SIZE LT 225/75R16, DOT# H8X1L1X11700 RIGHT OUTER REAR DULLER TIRE SEPARATED FROM THE SIDEWALL WHERE THE TREAD MET THE TIRE. INCIDENT 2 25 MILES LATER, WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH LEFT OUTER REAR DULLER TIRE SEPARATED AT THE SAME LOCATION. ONLY WARNING GIVEN WAS THE TIRES THUMPING AGAINT REAR BODY. DEALER / MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. *AK

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD MOTOR HOME. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V336000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER STATED THAT THE PART WOULD BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE ENGINE SIZE, NUMBER OF CYLINDERS, AND POWERTRAIN WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD (RECALL #05S28). AS INSTRUCTED, ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2007, I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL DISCONNECTED AT A FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE PART IS ON ORDER. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER MANY TIMES AND THE PART IS APPARENTLY UNAVAILABLE TO RESOLVE FORD'S DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT. I SENT AN EMAIL TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY REQUESTING CONTACT FROM THEM CONCERNING THIS ISSUE AND HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM EITHER. PLEASE HELP. *TR

WAS NOTIFIED BY FORD MOTOR COM. THAT THE SPEED CONTROL ON OUR FORD RV WAS UNSAFE AND NEEDED SERVICE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A FORD DEALER WHO DISCONNECTED THE DEVICE AND WAS TOLD THAT A REPLACEMENT UNIT WOULD BE INSTALLED IN JAN OR FEB OF 08 AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED ONCE AGAIN. NO WORD YET. WHY? *TR
