TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER VEHICLE WAS SQUEAKING AND THAT SHE HAD TO HOSE OFF HER FRONT ROTORS WHEN THEY OVERHEATED. HER VEHICLE WAS ALSO EXPERIENCING LONG STOPPING DISTANCES. THE FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. RECENTLY, THE SERVICE BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEN DIMMED. ONGOING PROBLEM WITH ENGINE STALLING WHILE TRAVELING VEHICLE BEEN IN/OUT OF DEALER SHOP ON THREE OCCASIONS, AND PROBLEM CANNOT BE DUPLICATED OR CORRECTED. THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. *AK FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED AND DEALER STATED AN EXHAUST LEAK CAUSING CARBON BUILD UP IN O2 SENSORS WERE CAUSING STALLING, HOWEVER AFTER REPAIRS VEHICLE STILL STALLS. CONSUMER CAN SMELL A GAS ODOR OUTSIDE VEHICLE. TRANSMISSION LEAKS, DEALER FOUND PAN HAD A HOLE, DEALER REPLACED PAN AND GASKET. *SLC

VEHICLE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING.*MR ENGINE WAS REPLACED AND STALLED AGAIN FROM CITY SPEED TO HIGHWAY SPEED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE OXYGEN SENSOR WAS REPLACED AND THE LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE. AFTER 2.5 HOURS OF ELECTRICAL TESTING, NOTHING WAS FOUND. THE EXISTING STALLING IS REPAIRED BY SHUTTING THE A/C OFF TO PROVIDE THE ENGINE WITH POWER. THE PREVENTION IS TO USE HIGHER OCTANE GAS, OMIT OVERDRIVE AND AVOID USING THE A/C.
