WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC ON A DRY, STRAIGHT ROAD AT ABOUT 35MPH, TRAFFIC STARTED TO SLOW FOR A RED LIGHT. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESISTANCE AND HAD NO EFFECT ON VEHICLE SPEED. FRANTICALLY PUMPING THE BRAKE PEDAL GRADUALLY INCREASED BRAKE PEDAL RESISTANCE. AFTER GAINING BRAKE PEDAL RESISTANCE, THE VEHICLE CAME TO A SCREECHING HALT, ACTIVATING ABS AND NARROWLY AVERTING AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE BRAKES HAVE MALFUNCTIONED BUT THIS TIME WE WERE ABLE TO GET DASHCAM FOOTAGE. BRAKE PEDAL MAINTAINED PRESSURE LIKE NORMAL BUT DID NOT SLOW THE VEHICLE AT FIRST. IT FELT LIKE BRAKING ON ICE. PUMPING BRAKES EVENTUALLY BROUGHT THE BRAKES BACK ONLINE. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED, WE NEARLY HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF US BECAUSE WE HAD TO BRAKE QUICKLY (ORIGINAL COMPLAINT STATED PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR -- I THINK THIS WAS IN ERROR DUE TO EXCITEMENT OF THE MOMENT). TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN NV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WESTON NISSAN LOCATED AT 3650 WESTON RD, DAVIE, FL 33331 WHO PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE TIRES WERE ALSO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE AND NO SERVICE WAS PERFORMED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.
