Owner report 11455414 · 2022-03-06 (March 6, 2022)

I purchased the vehicle 2/12/2022, a Saturday. On Monday 2/14/2022 I got in the car and it would not start. I pushed the start button and nothing happened. At first I thought my key fob battery was dead but when my wife returned home we had the same issue with hers. We called the dealer and they thought it was a dead battery and sent a tow truck. The tow truck driver and myself tried to jump start the car and nothing happen. We then tried to load the car on to a flat bed but could not because the car automatically engaged the electronic parki…

Owner report 11465222 · 2022-05-18 (May 18, 2022)

My vehicle has had continuous electrical issues, for instance today, I could NOT turn off the radio, some days the left speakers do not work. The CARPLAY and other features are intermittant. Secondly the power steering just randomly stopped working, the dealer states its the LOJACK, removed the LOJACK and now I have paid for a feature, that I no longer have, and just waiting for the next time the steering goes out, because there is no proof this is the problem. I returned my 2021 Grand Cherokee L and was able to retrieve the difference, and …

Owner report 11456693 · 2022-03-14 (March 14, 2022)

Power steering unavailable 1 week after purchase of vehicle at 380 miles. Safety hazard in driving to any location. After research, apparently this is a widespread issue with Ls steering and are somehow still being sold. This is a huge safety issue and should have been address when initial complaints were brought to light immediately. I am unsure how this model is still being sold and would like to be properly be reimbursed and return of this vehicle due to the misinformation and inaccuracy in marketing and sales of this vehicle.

Owner report 11463139 · 2022-05-02 (May 2, 2022)

With 173 miles on the vehicle, I went to start the vehicle and the power steering, electronic stability control, blind spot monitoring, and lane assist lights all went on. The power steering did not work and I was unable to back out of my parking space. I repeatedly turned the car on and off and the lights persisted for at least an hour. After an hour, all lights went off and I was able to drive the vehicle. This could have been extremely unsafe if this had occurred while the vehicle was in motion. This also was problematic as I was stranded in…

The vehicle has had a transmission replaced, a transfer case replaced, and the problem still exists and is considered normal. When the vehicle is going through the gears, you hear gear-shifting noises and a shudder.

Owner report 11514088 · 2023-03-27 (March 27, 2023)

Today while driving our Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was slowing for a stop light and a message came on saying service start/stop system. At the time I was traveling approximately 18 miles per hour. As I was slowing down I reached off approximately 5-8 mph when all of the car shifted to park.this was a very scary and dangerous incident for myself and vehicles around me. Now that I was stopped it wouldn’t let me shift the vehicle back in to drive. Finally a new message appeared saying stop/start restart required. Out of frustration and trying a number…

Owner report 11496503 · 2022-12-07 (December 7, 2022)

2nd time in last 2 months loss of power steering and all warning lights came on dash while driving. Very difficult to steer and would have not been able to make emergency maneuver. Vehicle was in shop for 30 days for same issue and power steering component was replaced but problem occurred again. If this had occurred when making a turn I would of been unable to control vehicle

Owner report 11600337 · 2024-07-09 (July 9, 2024)

I received a safety recall letter in the mail. I made an appointment at the South Shore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Service center in Inwood, NY for the repair of the recall and to change the oil. I specifically made the appointment for the recall (I keep getting notifications to repair) I went to the service center (1 hour drive from my home) on May 18,2024 (when I called to check in for the appointment “Shanty” told me that there’s no appointment scheduled for me, even though I got a text message confirming the appointment) Nevertheless, I wen…
