The contact's girlfriend owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while his girlfriend was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 220.

Had vehicle through multiple warning lights, crash protection inop, lane assist inop, ABS inop, power steering inop, turn signal didnt work. This happend twice. The first time taken to shop and said it was fixed but had it less than 50 miles and same thing happened. It was going down the highway at 70mph and steering went out with no turn signals. Turned vehicle into dealership looking into vehicle buy back

This is my Personal Assessment: My vehicle didn't visit the dealer yet and there are no warning lights of any kind and the answer to all the above bullets is NO. Two main issues, 1) Intermittently, when press the gas pedal from idle stop @ traffic light, you will the engine revs but the vehicle either doesn't move or move very slow. In either case, relasing gas and pressing again remediate the situation. This occasional can produce a dangeourous situation and put lives to risk. 2) the second issue is regarding Active Driving Assist System …

driving approximately 25 MPH on a road with a 30 MPH speed limit, cars are behind me, nobody is in front of me, the jeep suddenly slammed on its brakes to a full stop for absolutely no reason, cars behind me had to run off the road to avoid hitting me. 2 people yelling at me out of their window.

We have a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. With the Automatic Emergency Braking system turned on, the vehicle slammed the brakes in the middle of an intersection almost causing an accident. Fortunately the vehicle behind us was able to avoid a collision, but this is an unsafe setting. It has done this twice since we purchased the car in Jan. Of 2022. The setting remains turned off now.
