Accelerating onto hwy and vehicle jerks then flashes “service hybrid system” and “battery low” (as in the vehicle battery not electric mode charge. Pulled up to a stop light 2 min later and automatic breaking locks up and the vehicle completely locks and shuts down. Unable to reset/turn off/on or shift. Had to be towed to dealership.

When ever I try to charge my Jeep grand Cherokee 4xe summit reserve it fails to charge on a level 1 or level 2 charger and then they check engine light comes on and a electrical burning smell from the hybrid battery and says service charging system. When ever you bring it to the dealer they just reset the code and says it works only for the problem to come back it also affects how the jeep drives when this happens the jeep doesn't want to accelerate properly and has other electric system issues like the wipers coming on randomly and the massage…

On February 23rd 2023 I picked up my new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe from conway Jeep in South Carolina . On the way home I noticed my foot kept slipping off the accelerator pedal and wasn't sure what was causing it. When I arrived home I noticed the accelerator pedal was made from a slick piece of plastic and didn't have a rubber cover or anti slip material installed like the brake pedal had. 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE flashing the following needing service: ACTIVE LANE MANAGEMENT, BLIND SPOT ALERT, AUTO EMERGENCY BRAKING Numerous calls to Jeep whom refused to escalate to a STAR case for engineer review. Numerous calls to Stelantis, with no call back. Possible issues with safety module. Videos submitted to Jeep Wave and asked to escalate to bring attention to serious safety matter.

Driving Screen, Swaybar Disconnect systems, Airbags, TPMS, Driving controls such as blinkers, and emergency flashers. The car was functioning normally, with no anomalies or error messages, including through phone notifications. The battery charge was nearly complete. Driving 35 MPH on a back road, no cars coming the opposite direction, the automatic emergency braking system flashed, beeped and slammed my brakes momentarily. Luckily there was no one behind me. I attempted to pull into a parking lot and the entire electrical system went crazy, all warning lights, systems and sensors went off and I lost power steering. Transmission started leaking and spraying transmission fluid while driving. Fluid hits exhaust and then smokes and burns off. Jeep has replaced various parts however it appears that the ZF transmissions are failing / have cracks in the housing. Dealer acknowledges the problem. Upon the 2nd failure dealer had us tow it to the dealership. The Jeep is now at the dealer waiting for a response from FCA on what is to be done. The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the “4-WD mode Disabled”, and that the Automatic Emergency Braking activated messages were displayed. When driving my vehicle, the engine seems to be stalling as a switching from one gear to the other jolts. The engine is slow in responding to speeding up. I feel unsafe specially when attempting to go on the freeway because the car seems to momentarily stop and between switching gears. I was driving on a local road going 35-40 mph, when SUV shut off (no power). I maneuvered to the shoulder, and tried to restart, which it did. The hybrid was near the end of the charged battery mode, when this happened. I purchase the Grand Cherokee 4XE (new) in May 2024, and recently had the battery replaced due to a safety recall. This is the first time I lost power while driving. The car has been at the dealer’s for two days, and they have not found the problem. There was no error code, and they could not replicate the loss of power.
