SEPTEMBER 2007 - FORD MOTOR COMPANY SENT A LETTER STATING THAT THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH WAS POSING A RISK OF AND UNDERHOOD FIRE. THIS CONDITION MAY OCCUR EITHER WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OR WHEN IT IS BEING OPERATED, EVEN IF THE SPEED CONTROL IS NOT IN USE. THIS WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER IN OCTOBER 2007, AT THE TIME WE WERE TOLD THAT THE FUSED WIRING HARNESS WAS NOT AVAILABLE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY.
