TODAY OUR DRIVER WAS COMING TO A STOP FROM 35MPH. CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR. TRUCK WAS TRAVELING FOR AROUND 20 MINUTES. WHEN THE TRUCK STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT IT JUMPED FORWARD OVERPOWERING THE BRAKES AND MOVED SEVERAL INCHES FORWARD.

ON 2/7/2018 THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK REPORTED THAT WHEN HE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP THE TRUCK LURCHED FORWARD MOVING THE TRUCK WITH THE BRAKES APPLIED. DRIVER FELT UNSAFE AS THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE CONTROLLED FOR A FEW SECONDS. TRUCK WAS DRIVEN FOR 22 MINUTES WHEN INCIDENT OCCURRED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 ISUZU NPR HD. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND BACK ON, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FUEL TANK WAS REPLACED DUE TO RUST AND CORROSION. THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY 25,000 MILES LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V704000 (FUEL SYSTEM). MY SIX-YEAR-OLD ISUZU TRUCKS GAS TANK STARTED TO LEAK WHILE IT WAS PARKED IN A HEATED GARAGE. THE FUMES IN THE MORNING WERE VERY STRONG AND I VENTED THE AREA PRIOR TO FEELING IT SAFE TO START THE TRUCK. THIS TRUCK HAS THE SAME GAS TANK THAT WAS IN THE 2008 ISUZU TRUCK THAT I HAD AND IT HAD A RECALL ON THE TANK. WOULD YOU LOOK INTO THIS HAZARDOUS SITUATION AND SEND ME YOUR RESULTS. THE VIN NUMBER IS-------------------------------- THE REPAIRS COST ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BUT KNOW ONE AND NOTHING ELSE GOT HURT
