Owner report 11551900 · 2023-10-25 (October 25, 2023)

Driving down cobblestone street approximately 15mph came to a stop sign and when pressing the brakes the abs kicked in nd the whole front end was shaking. I have never in 35yrs of driving have had this happen on a cobblestone street.

When I hit any kind of bump in the road while braking my brakes go soft and malfunction. It happens daily. Every time I brake and come in contact with any rough surface.

Owner report 11562337 · 2023-12-28 (December 28, 2023)

I like how tesla has created an audible and visual clue to know when the Assistive functions enable, engage and they disengage. With this hyundai, there is a steering Icon, that lights up in the instrument cluster, that we should search to confirm its engaged, and then when it disengages, it just disappears without any warining or notification that the driver is in control.

Owner report 11593943 · 2024-06-12 (June 12, 2024)

At slower speeds, while braking or coming to a stop, if a bump or uneven surface in the road is encountered the car will violently shake. The steering wheel will shake left and right and braking action is lost. This can lead to dangerous situations at intersections or amongst other traffic as stopping distance will drastically increase unexpectedly. Based on previous reports this is likely caused by the ABS engaging at inappropriate times or performing in an inappropriate manner.

Owner report 11713311 · 2026-01-26 (January 26, 2026)

Sub-freezing temperatures caused car not be able to start. The battery in this vehicle is less than 3 years old as it was purchased in October of 2023. It displayed a "Check ESC" message, flashed all the lights and I could not hear the engine crank / turn over at all.

Owner report 11541372 · 2023-08-29 (August 29, 2023)

The transmission failed at under 800 miles on this new vehicle. Each gear shift in the transmission was substantially extended and the vehicle would jerk when sitting into gear. You could hear/feel the engine revving while only accelerating slightly. When entering the highway, the vehicle's extended shift caused a very slow and delayed acceleration, requiring other drivers to change lanes or rapidly slow down to avoid a collision. The Hyundai dealer confirmed the transmission issue, and submitted a warranty claim to Hyundai which was approve…

Owner report 11563413 · 2024-01-03 (January 3, 2024)

Each time the vehicle is driven the transmission will slip out of gear when trying to shift and send the engine rpm into a rev. During this vehicle stops accelerating and feels as if it is completely in neutral. Finally the transmission will slam into gear jostling the occupants. This happens when the engine attempts to shift around 15,20,25 and 40 mph. Once the transmission slipped out of gear on a shift, lost acceleration, and then slammed to a halt as if shifting into park. The vehicle was moving at 15 mph when this occurred and the vehicl…

Owner report 11688315 · 2025-09-19 (September 19, 2025)

Vehicle failed to start in dealer's service stall. Fault was corrected 6 days later. Repair order described fault as "2 wires touching under driver's seat". Service desk stated the problem was pre-existing. I would be fearful of the consequences if those two wires "touched" while driving.
