I just had my rv at the dealership in December of 2022 for repairs and maintenance on the rv including the suspension system. Within 300 miles the shackle bolt broke twisting the spring and then shearing off the wheel/rim/tire sending it flying down the highway. The rotor dragged on the roadway until I could stop resulting in damage to the rotor and brake line. I have a five year warranty on the suspension, however Grand design and Dexter axle refused the warranty blaming me for non maintenance and or overtorquing the shackle bolts. With a Face…

All four brakes burned up and failed. The landing gear fell out of the assemblies. The brakes were metal on metal and heated up so much the turned the drums red. This fifth wheel is only 6 months old and has had numerous problems not limited to the brakes and landing gear.

Our frame on our 2022 Grand Design Solitude S Class 3740BH has failed. While towing this RV 5th wheel trailer, we have observed signs of frame flex/failure and now it has been verified by RV tech Justin Douglas of TBD RV Repair out of Denver, IA [phone removed]. Items to note: Our hitch inbox appears to rise and fall several inches during transport. The front cargo doors and side entrance door have opened during transport after being secured. Several pieces of moulding have “pulled” out from shifting along the front trim of the trailer. …

Documented Symptoms consistent with the conditions described in Grand Design TSB 24-001 1. Dynamic Sidewall Separation – Driver and Passenger Sides The upper-deck sidewall area displays visible movement under load. When the trailer is connected to the truck via the pin box, the exterior trim and sidewall gap noticeably widens. When the trailer is leveled on its landing gear, the separation compresses and partially closes.
