Our car has 66,000 miles on it. My wife was driving it we have never hooked a trailer to it. Never done anything but drive our kids around go run errands in it. The motor seized and left my wife stranded. The car has been fully serviced ahead of schedule every time And very well taken care of it still looks new, but the dealership is now telling me the motor and the transmission possibly are bad and I’m only 6000 miles past the factory warranty. There’s no reason for this motor to have failed or the transmission as the car has never seen any ha…

Vehicle stalled in the middle of highway. Truck decelerated rapidly with no warning. Was able to pull over before on small strip of shoulder before vehicle shut completely off. Law enforcement was called to shut down adjoining main lane as vehicle was in between main slab and on ramp. Vehicle was towed to local dealership. Problem was diagnosed by dealer as a fuel pump control module malfunction. Dealer and others in surrounding areas have multiple vehicles with same issue in their service department with no parts available through GM. There is…

The contact owns a 2022 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 60 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power, prompting the driver to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway where the vehicle then stalled and was unable to be restarted. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the engine due to metal fragments being found in the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. After investigating the failure, …

Owner report 11603421 · 2024-07-19 (July 19, 2024)
As we were leaving Cortez, CO. on a two lane highway we were passing a couple of cars with plenty of room to get back into to the driving lane when we lost ALL power from the engine. The cars we had just passed had to slam on their brakes as we were trying to keep from a head on collision. But with no power and the Denali in neutral we couldn’t change anything. We coasted to a County Road approach and it DIED in the middle of it. NO POWER. We had to call a tow truck who took it back into Cortez to Webb Chevrolet. The engine had seized. God…

Owner report 11619898 · 2024-10-15 (October 15, 2024)
2022 Yukon XL, (49465 miles) while driving in stop and go traffic, engine quit, able to roll off roadway, restart engine and get back in "drive", this occurred three times in succession when we took foot off accelerator, with in 50 minutes (45 min) time line. This occurred on 9/29/24 took vehicle to dealership on 10/14/24 (earliest appointment), they completed two recalls, could not fined any thing wrong and no "codes" were showing. Engine seemed to "shutter" not like a electrical was disconnected to engine (my opinion). This a safety issu…

Owner report 11637787 · 2025-01-22 (January 22, 2025)
I am writing the NHTSA to advise of a harrowing event involving the vehicle named above. I was driving my 2022 Yukon vehicle equipped with the 6.2L Ecotec3 V8 L87 Engine. As I was traveling, the vehicle suddenly without warning shut down. When this occurred all systems in the vehicle became completely inoperable; i.e., no power steering, no power brakes, nothing, Etc. I was lucky to be able to veer/coast into the Emergency Lane without incident. This situation also caused the vehicle to become almost un-towable, in that the towing company …

Owner report 11659050 · 2025-05-05 (May 5, 2025)
I jumped in and turned the car on and started driving. Right away I noticed most of the warning lights were on. The first speed bump in the complex made me realize I had lost 80-90% of my brakes as if I had a broken brake line for example and steering was a little hard and pulling a bit to one side. I check underneath I did not have any leaks. I decided to take it to the Dealer to have it checked. Dealer said they were not able to find anything and cleared the codes. dash lights on: check engine lane depart drive assist ABS BRAKE

Owner report 11697902 · 2025-11-06 (November 6, 2025)
While driving northbound on I2 at approximately 70mph I experienced a sudden loss of engine power. Vehicle would not accelerate and engine ultimately powered off. I was able to move across three lanes of traffic and pull over on the side of the highway. I attempted to restart the vehicle but was unsuccessful and after about 10 minutes the engine managed to start. The ‘check engine’ light was on after the incident and upon arriving back home I ran a code scan that resulted in code P129F indicates a problem with the fuel pump control module. Ther…
