Owner report 11650005 · 2025-03-23 (March 23, 2025)

When the car has been driven for more than 20 minutes it has erratic shifting issues shifting up or down. It is most notable when in stop and go traffic. Four times it has given me a wrench on the dash cluster for Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power. At the time it suggests to contact a dealer. I pull over as soon as I can, shut the vehicle off, and restarted and the wrench goes away. It will then drive normal again. It has happened on 8/25/24, 10/5/24, and twice on 3/22/25.

Owner report 11665543 · 2025-06-07 (June 7, 2025)

I believe the transmission has an issue. The car was started and it quickly went into reverse and sped up trapping my wife between the door and a tree as she was exiting the vehicle to swap seats for me to drive. No known warnings were issued by the vehicle prior to the incident on 6/7/2025. The previous recall for the BCM & PCM was completed on 2/27/2025 by our local Ford dealer

Owner report 11679483 · 2025-08-09 (August 9, 2025)

When coming from a stop at a traffic light vehicle losses power for approximately 15-20 seconds. This puts the driver of the vehicle, passengers, and other vehicle drivers operating on the roadway in danger of a major collision, possible bodily harm or even death. We have twice taken the vehicle to our dealership, where we purchased the vehicle; in order to fix the recall and we have had no success in gaining a remedy for the issues. The vehicle was seen twice by the Chandler, Arizona Earnheart Ford service department. There were no warning sig…

Owner report 11650914 · 2025-03-26 (March 26, 2025)

I’d like to open a customer concern case. While I was driving on the freeway on, my gas tank was punctured after hitting debris in the road. It was a standard highway situation, not off-roading or anything extreme. The fact that the gas tank was damaged to the point of leaking or requiring repair is very concerning. It was a very large rupture. I believe the underbody protection may not be adequate, and I’m worried this could be a design or safety issue. I’ve taken photos and have a repair estimate. It was a very dangerous situation as one s…

Owner report 11685185 · 2025-09-05 (September 5, 2025)

I reached out to ford due to my 2024 bronco sport overheating and running hot. During the time of that complaint I was advised that my bronco currently has a recall that the fuel tank needs to be replaced but it is currently being deemed as non safety and will only be addressed if the vehicle is in for service. I was also advised that due to this recall it is currently a part of fords customer satisfaction program. Anything fuel related should be deemed as a safety recall considering fuel is a flammable chemical. I have requested a buy back as …

Owner report 11652689 · 2025-04-03 (April 3, 2025)

I Was in Reverse backing out and stopped with the brake and rolled the gear dial to drive until foot off brake and it stayed stuck in reverse and I moved backwards and hit a car behind me. I braked again and looked to make sure I was in drive, And I was. Then, i took my foot off thee brake and it moved forward. Also I notice a big delay in drive after having brake applied. I think the gears are sticking. Or even a 2-4 second delay to switch from gear to gear.

Owner report 11701629 · 2025-11-26 (November 26, 2025)

• What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection? The brake system on my 2024 Ford Bronco Sport failed to respond for approximately 2–3 seconds after I pressed the brake pedal. This occurred immediately after freeing my foot from underneath the gas pedal while cruise control was active. The vehicle is available for inspection. • How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle did not slow down when the brake pedal was fully pressed, causing me to enter an intersection while other vehic…

The steering is temporarily disabled when the vehicle is in the auto off/fuel saver mode. I had an approaching EMS vehicle that I was almost struck by because my vehicle was off due to that feature. The steering wheel was not responsive.
