CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AFTER TRYING TO START THE MOTORCYCLE. IT HAS REMAINED ON. THE DEALER INVESTIGATED FOR A WEEK. NO ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WERE IDENTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER DIAGNOSTIC TOOL WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A PROBLEM CODE OR CLEAR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE DEALER OPENED SUPPORT CASE WITH YAMAHA. ACCORDING TO YAMAHA THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH AN ACTUAL ISSUE AND IS A FALSE POSITIVE. HOWEVER, THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR TURN OFF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. YAHAMA HAS INDICATED THAT A SOFTWARE UPDAT…
