The front brake lever brake light switch is supposed to illuminate the brake light just before braking is applied (according to manufacturer’s manual). I realized when I was sitting on the motorcycle in my driveway, with the front brake holding the motorcycle, that the brake light wasn’t illuminated. As I began to test it I realized I was able to have the bike come to a complete stop without the brake light illuminating when using only the front brake lever. The motorcycle was purchased brand new and braking system has not been modified. I…
