TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 WINNEBAGO FORZA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V277000 (STEERING, SUSPENSION) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THERE ARE MANY STEERING ISSUES ABOUT THE XCS FREIGHTLINER CHASSIS USED IN THE WINNEBAGO DIESEL PUSHERS. WE HAVE A BRAND NEW WINNEBAGO AND THE STEERING HAS SO MUCH PLAY IN IT. WE HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER AND FREIGHTLINER TWICE AND ALL THEY SAY IS IT IS ADJUSTED TO SPECIFICATIONS. THIS RIG IS NOT SAFE TO DERIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. THE AMOUNT OF PLAY IN THE WHEEL MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE MH STRAIGHT ON A ROAD. THIS IS AN ACCIDENT JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN. Delamination of instrument cluster, difficult to read air pressure, engine & transmission temp, engine tach. This is an ongoing problem, seems to be increasing area of distortion. First noticed 9/2024 approximate date.

The contact owns a 2017 Winnebago Forza built on a 2017 Freightliner XC-S Chassis. The contact stated that the rear brake lights and left turn signals failed to function as intended. No warning lights were illuminated. The RV was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the power distribution module failed and needed to be replaced. The RV was not repaired due to the VIN not being included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V582000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System), nor 20V404000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting).
