Owner report 10398954 · 2011-04-28 (April 28, 2011)

WHILE RAISING THE ROOF OF THE POP-UP CAMPER, THE LIFT CABLE BROKE AND THE ROOF FELL. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS INJURED. I FOUND A RECALL ON MY MODEL AND YEAR FOR INSTALLING A SAFETY BRAKE TO PREVENT THE ROOF FROM FALLING IF THE CABLE BREAKS (RECALL - CAMPAIGN #05V364000). THE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RECALL SAYS MY CAMPER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. SINCE THE ROOF FELL WHEN THE LIFT SYSTEM FAILED I AM NOT SURE WHY I CANNOT HAVE MY CAMPER FIXED. I CANNOT GET A DESCRIPTION FROM THEM EXPLAINING IT TO ME.
