1. NOTHING SPECIAL TO CAUSE THE ISSUE. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND NO TRAFFIC IN FREEWAY. 2. ALL OF SUDDEN, MY CAR SEEMS LOSE IT'S POWER FOR LESS A SECOND AND RE-ENGAGE. IN THE MEAN TIME CAR SKIDDED INTO THE DITCH AND I NEED TO TURN THE HANDLE TO MAKE IT STRAIGHT. FORTUNATELY, NO OTHER CARS AROUND US. AFTER THAT MY CAR HAS THE ABS AND VSC TRAC LIGHTS ON 3. MY SEQUOIA IS STILL STAYING IN SHOP FOR CHECKING. THE COMPUTER READS "YAW RATE SENSOR FAILURE" FOR THE PROBLEM. *TR

I'VE EXPERIENCED ONGOING ISSUES WITH THE CRC APPLICATION FOR THE TOYOTA TUNDRA FRAME RUST ISSUE SINCE IT WAS ORIGINALLY APPLIED. THE FIRST APPLICATION FAILED AFTER 1 DAY OF USE. THE SECOND APPLICATION FAILED LESS THAN A YEAR LATER. THE THIRD APPLICATION, APPLIED OCT. 14 2013 HAS NOW FAILED. ON OCTOBER 15 TOYOTA INFORMED ME THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE 12 MONTH WARRANTY AS DESCRIBED ON THE PAPERWORK FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ANY FUTURE ISSUES WITH REGARDS TO THE FRAME RUST OR THEIR WORKMANSHIP. HOWEVER, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM TOYOTA ON OC…

WITH REAR WINDOWS OPEN, THE SOUND THE RESONATES FROM CARGO AREA IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO THE OCCUPANTS. NOT ABLE TO DRIVE WITH REAR WINDOWS OPEN. NOT A ONE-TIME OCCURANCE, BUT DAILY. THIS WOULD DETER FUTURE PURCHASES.

Owner report 746359 · 2001-06-04 (June 4, 2001)
THE DRIVER-SIDE WINDOW HAS AN AUTO UP AND AUTO DOWN FEATURE. THE AUTO UP DOES NOT HAVE A SENSOR TO STOP TRAVEL IF WINDOW IS BLOCKED. THIS CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR THE GLASS TO BREAK. RECENT NEWS STORY DESCRIBED SMALL GIRL WHO SUFFOCATED BY ACTIVATING POWER WINDOW SWITCH WHILE HER HEAD WAS EXTENDED THROUGH THE WINDOW OPENING. THE HIGHLANDER OPERATOR ONLY NEEDS TO "BUMP" SWITCH ONCE AND TRAVEL WILL NOT STOP UNTIL CLOSED UNLESS WINDOW SWITCH IS PRESSED AGAIN.
