Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2003-2022 MBII, T-Series, and G5 school buses. The emergency release handle on the service door may bind, not allowing the door panels to open.
Consequence: The service door may not open, preventing evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency, and increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will provide instructions on how to correctly adjust the service door, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 8, 2021. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 21-087-DUS.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2022 G5 school buses. During wheel alignment, the alignment ring was installed at an incorrect angle, which can cause the wheels to become misaligned.
Consequence: Misaligned wheels may result in uneven tire wear and stress on the suspension, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2021-2022 G5, MBII, and T-Series school buses. The inside panels under the windows may have been insufficiently attached. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
Consequence: Insufficiently attached panels may separate during a crash, increasing the risk of an injury.
Remedy: Dealers will provide parts and instructions on how to correct the defect, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Micro Bird's customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 22-094-PUS.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro) is recalling certain 2012-2023 G5, 2012-2023 MBII and 2015-2022 T-Series school buses. The power cable that provides electricity to the air conditioning control board may have a loose connection to the power stud on the board.
Consequence: A loose power cable connection may cause the control board to overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corp. Micro Bird Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Micro Bird G5 school buses. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake Hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid.
Consequence: A sudden loss of power steering fluid can result in a loss of power steering and power brake assist, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the connection between the power steering lines and the Hydroboost unit, and replace the power steering lines, as necessary, free of charge. Consequence: Incorrectly attached rub rails may not offer adequate protection against an impact, increasing the risk of injury.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2019 G5 school buses. A LIN gateway module may fail causing the defrosting system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealer will replace the LIN gateway module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 17, 2024. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 24-105-CUS.

Corp. Mirco Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2019-2022 G5 school buses. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid.
Consequence: A sudden loss of power steering fluid can result in a loss of power steering and power brake assist, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the power steering lines as necessary, free of charge. Vehicles in this recall were previously recalled under 22V-811 and owners will need to have the new remedy completed even if their vehicle was remedied under the prior recall. Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2011-2025 Micro Bird G5 school buses, equipped with certain tracked 2-place seats with lap and shoulder seat belts. The seats may be improperly attached. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequence: An improperly attached seat can detach in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Micro Bird will provide instructions on how to inspect and reattach the seats as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 14, 2024. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 24-108-TUS.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2008-2025 G5, 2008-2024 MBII, and 2015-2024 T-Series school buses. The rear emergency door exterior handle may unexpectedly break under applied force.
Consequence: In the event of an emergency, a broken door handle can prevent or delay emergency responders from entering the bus, increasing the risk of injury.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2003-2026 MB II, 2006-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series school buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.
Consequence: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
