Reported: 2023-08-30 (August 30, 2023)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD6 and MD7 vehicles. The steering gear fasteners may not be properly tightened.

Consequence: Loose steering gear fasteners may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will tighten the steering gear fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 23, 2023. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0449.

23V746000 · Steering:Critical Fasteners

Reported: 2023-11-07 (November 7, 2023)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD trucks. The steering wheel attachment bolt may loosen and separate from the steering shaft, causing the steering wheel to detach.

Consequence: A detached steering wheel can cause a loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will replace the steering wheel retention bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 20, 2023. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0453.

24V167000 · Parking Brake:Indicator Light

Reported: 2024-03-01 (March 1, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD6 and MD7 vehicles. The park brake light may indicate the incorrect brake status due to an incorrect park brake pressure switch.

Consequence: The park brake light may indicate that the park brake is applied when it is not, possibly resulting in a vehicle roll away and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the brake pressure switch as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 11, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0460.

24V333000 · Equipment:Other:Labels

Reported: 2024-05-14 (May 14, 2024)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 MD and Terrapro vehicles. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the vehicle certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

Consequence: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will remove and replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 28, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0463.

25V666000 · Seat Belts:Front:Anchorage

Reported: 2025-10-06 (October 6, 2025)

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Mack MD, 2019-2025 Anthem, Granite, 2024 MD Electric, and 2025 Pinnacle trucks equipped with a passenger bench seat. The seat belt anchorage bracket may be improperly welded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Consequence: An improperly welded seat belt anchorage bracket can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will install a reinforcement plate, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 21, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0485. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 13, 2025.
