21V684000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Pedals And Linkages

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Mack MD vehicles. The cotter pin that retains the brake pedal clevis pin may not have been properly installed, which could result in an unsecured brake pedal.
Consequence: An unsecured brake pedal can cause a loss of braking ability and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised to not drive their vehicles until the remedy has been performed. Dealers will inspect the cotter pin installation and repair it as necessary, free of charge. Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Mack MD, 2019-2025 Anthem, Granite, 2024 MD Electric, and 2025 Pinnacle trucks equipped with a passenger bench seat. The seat belt anchorage bracket may be improperly welded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequence: An improperly welded seat belt anchorage bracket can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install a reinforcement plate, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 21, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2022 Medium-Duty Trucks. The spring hanger brackets on the front suspension may have loose bolts.
Consequence: Loose suspension bolts can detach, possibly resulting in a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will tighten the spring hanger bracket bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 17, 2021. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0428.

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2023 MD6/7 trucks. The engine control module (ECM) may experience an internal short-circuit, which can result in an unexpected engine shut down.
Consequence: An unexpected engine shut down can increase the risk of a crash.

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD6 and MD7 vehicles. The steering gear fasteners may not be properly tightened.
Consequence: Loose steering gear fasteners may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD trucks. The steering wheel attachment bolt may loosen and separate from the steering shaft, causing the steering wheel to detach.
Consequence: A detached steering wheel can cause a loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will replace the steering wheel retention bolt, free of charge. Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 MD6 and MD7 vehicles. The park brake light may indicate the incorrect brake status due to an incorrect park brake pressure switch.
Consequence: The park brake light may indicate that the park brake is applied when it is not, possibly resulting in a vehicle roll away and increasing the risk of a crash.

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 MD and Terrapro vehicles. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the vehicle certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Consequence: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.
