I HAVE BEEN HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES, CURRENT PARTS ON ORDER AT REPAIR SHOP. I HAD SOME MORE ELECTRICAL ISSUES DEVELOP. I FOUND THAT THERE ARE MELTING WIRES AND THE PLASTIC STORAGE BIN ABOVE THERE AREA ALSO HAS MELTED. ALL THIS DAMAGE IS IN FRONT OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHERE THE LEFT AND RIGHT EXHAUST JOIN. IT GOT SO HOT TO MELT THE PLASTIC BOX. IF THIS CONTINUED, IT COULD EASILY CATCH FIRE. THE ELECTRICAL WIRES CAN CAUSE A FIRE. MY WIFE REFUSED TO RIDE IN THE RV NOW WHEN WE MOVED, SHE FOLLOWED IN THE CAR. I HAVE SEVERAL WARRANTY ISS…

Owner report 11555239 · 2023-11-15 (November 15, 2023)

Gears in steering gear box must be "sloppy". Constantly needing to correct to drive a straight line down the road. I have gone to "Safety Plus Steering Control" and had them install the proper Control arm, thinking this would solve the problem. It has not. The constant correcting of the steering going down the road is tiring. I believe the gearbox is the problem. This has been a problem ever since I bought it new in 2020, and is getting worse. Thank you

Recall history

4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

20V337000 · Visibility:Glass, Side/Rear

Reported: 2020-06-09 (June 9, 2020)

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2020 Motorized Alante, Greyhawk, Melbourne, Precept, Redhawk, Seneca, Accolade, Emblem, Esteem, Odyssey, Qwest, and Vision recreational vehicles. The adhesive bond between the glass and the metal hinge frame of the frameless crank out vent and egress windows may fail which would then allow the glass to detach and fall out.

Consequence: If the window glass detaches while the vehicle is moving it could become a projectile, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the frameless windows for proper adhesive bond strength, replacing the windows as necessary, free of charge. This recall began June 15, 2020. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901508.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Jayco Alante, Precept, Entegra Vision, 2021 Jayco Precept Prestige, Entegra Vision XL, and Emblem motorhomes built on a Ford F-53 chassis. The engine covers may not contain sufficient heat insulation, causing the interior surface temperatures to be excessive.

Consequence: Excessive surface temperatures can increase the risk of injury to the occupants.

Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional insulation insert, and a foam seal on the outer edge of the cover, free of charge. The recall began December 28, 2020. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903527.
