FAULTY "DISPLAY CONTROL UNITS" CAUSE BLUETOOTH SYSTEM TO BEHAVE ERRATICALLY, PLAY / PAUSE MUSIC OR SOUNDS, OVERRIDE USER CONTROLS, AND CAUSE SEVERE DISTRACTIONS WHILE DRIVING BY HAVING TO MANUALLY TURN OFF BLUETOOTH FROM PHONE. FAULTY DCU WILL OVERRIDE USER CONTROLS IN OTHER ASPECTS AS WELL. DCU WILL CAUSE REVERSE CAMERA TO DISPLAY NO IMAGE / SKEWED IMAGE / INTERFERENCE. CAMERA HAS STAYED ON THE SCREEN WHILE MOVING FORWARD IN DRIVE. HAS BEEN AN ISSUE IN THESE CARS SINCE 2014, SOME WORSE THAN OTHERS. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS, REVERSE CAMERA IS…

CAR COMES WITH 19"RIMS AND RUN FLAT TIRES (BRIDGESTONE DRIVE GUARD). SINCE LEASOING THE CAR IN NOVEMBER 2018, I HAVE RECEIVED 8 FLAT TIRES ALL FROM "POTHOLES" THAT RIPPED THE SIDE WALL. CONSUMER AFFAIRS SAYS THIS TIRE SHOULD NOT BE ON THIS CAR IN CERTAIN STATES IN THIS CASE NEW YORK. INFINITI DEALERS DO NOT OFFER AN OPTION AND THE UNSUSPECTING CONSUMER IS LEFT WITH A HAZARDOUS SITUATION. YOUR EYES CAN LEAVE THE ROAD AS YOU SEARCH FOR EVEN SMALL POTHOLES TO AVOID. THIS WAS A RENTAL VEHICLE, NOT MY PERSONAL VEHICLE, BUT IS APPLICABLE TO MULTIPLE BRANDS AND MODELS. THE SAFETY ISSUE IS DUE TO THE HEADLIGHT MODES. THE DEFAULT MODE IS OFF, YET THE DRL'S REMAIN ON. THESE ARE BRIGHT ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN DRIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND NOT REALIZE THAT YOUR ACTUAL HEADLIGHTS ARE OFF, WHICH MEANS THAT THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE OFF. I HAVE BEEN SEEING SEVERAL VEHICLES EVERY DAY WITH PEOPLE DRIVING WITH NO LIGHTS ON, EVEN IN POOR VISIBILITY. THE DEFAULT SHOULD BE FOR THE HEADLIGHTS TO BE IN AUTO MODE OR DRL'S MU…

RUN FLAT TIRES WENT FLAT ON A POTHOLE THAT WAS NOT EVEN REALIZED ON A SUNDAY WITH NO SERVICE STATION OPEN. EVEN IF THEY WERE, THE TIRE HAS TO BE REPLACED, CANNOT BE REPAIRED. THERE IS NO SPARE TIRE OPTION- WHEN CONTACTED, COMPANY REFUSED " NOT POSSIBLE". THIS IS NOT SAFE AT ALL AND MUST BE ADDRESSED. MUST HAVE SPARE TIRE ESP SINCE RUN FLAT TIRES CANNOT BE REPAIRED AND ARE NOT IN STOCK AT MOST SERVICE STATIONS

WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY INFINITI ON THE HIGHWAY MY SERPENTINE BELT SNAPPED 4 DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE IN MOTION. ALL WITHIN ONE YEAR. INCLUDING ME GETTING MY CAR BACK FROM THE DEALER AND THEM LETTING ME HAVE IT BACK THAT WAY. ALSO, THE TIRES ARE HORRENDOUS, FROM DAY ONE, THEY PULLED THE CAR LEFT OR RIGHT ON THE CAR. ALL THE SETTINGS WERE CORRECT ON THE CAR. I WANTED TO HAVE THE TIRES REPLACED, BY THE MANUFACTURER, AND THAT CAN BE DONE BECAUSE NO IT'S TO LONG AND EVERYONE TOOK TO LONG TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. RESULTING IN HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT AND PUSHING IT OUT OF THE WAY, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED MOVING DESPITE HAVING THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED TO THE LIMIT, THE ENGINE WAS REVVING VERY HIGH. Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

17V476000 · Electrical System:Software | Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Fuel Pump

Reported: 2017-07-27 (July 27, 2017)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Infiniti Q50 and 2017 Infiniti Q60 vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine. Incorrect Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) software may allow the fuel level in the main tank to be too low to supply fuel to the engine, causing the engine to stall while driving.

Consequence: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and Infiniti dealers will reprogram the Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) with corrected software, free of charge. The recall began August 29, 2017. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

19V654000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

Reported: 2019-09-12 (September 12, 2019)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

24V470000 · Power Train:Driveline:Driveshaft

Reported: 2024-06-21 (June 21, 2024)

Nissan North America, Inc. (INFINITI) is recalling certain 2011-2013 M56, 2012-2013 M35 Hybrid, 2014-2018 Q50, Q70 Hybrid, 2014-2019 Q70, and 2015-2019 Q70L two-wheel drive vehicles. The driveshaft can fatigue and break.

Consequence: A broken driveshaft can result in a loss of drive power, or a vehicle roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the driveshaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 13, 2024. Owners may contact INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. INFINITI's numbers for this recall are R24A5 and R24A7.
