GEM 4CAR MADE BY DALMAR THAT WE HAVE IS HAVING ISSUES AGAIN AND GEM CAR SEEMS TO AVOID US ON TRYING TO FIX IT FIRST THE PSDM BOARD WENT OUT FROM THE BOLTS NOT BEING TIGHTENED BY THE MFG AND THEY REFUSED TO COVER IT NOW THE UNIT IS NOT WORKING AGAIN WILL NOT MOVE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL AND AGAIN ITS THE PSDM BOARD THAT WE PURCHASED FOR OVER 800.00 AND THEY WONT COVER IT. *TR

07V516000 · Parking Brake

Reported: 2007-11-05 (November 5, 2007)

ON CERTAIN LOW-SPEED 2, 4, OR 6-PASSENGER SHORT, LONG AND LONG BED XD ELECTRIC VEHICLES, AN INSUFFICIENT WELD ON THE HAND PARK LEVER BRAKE ASSEMBLY (PARKING BRAKE) MAY FAIL. THIS FAILURE CAUSES A TOTAL LOSS OF PARKING BRAKE HOLD.

Consequence: A FAILURE OF THE PARKING BRAKE WILL ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO ROLL AWAY IF IT IS PARKED ON AN INCLINE, CREATING THE RISK OF A CRASH OR INJURY.

Remedy: GEM WILL REPLACE THE PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 26, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT GEM AT 1-866-764-0616.
