Owner report 11694814 · 2025-10-21 (October 21, 2025)

I have 2023 Jayco Redhawk SE mounted on a Chevy Express 4500 Cutaway chassis with only 5300 miles on it. Chevrolet dealer ran diagnostics and replaced an ABS sensor which had no impact on the problem. I have an appointment to have it looked at by another dealership recommended by Chevy Customer Service. It is not safe to drive, going up straight steep grades on the interstate the right rear wheel keeps locking up under acceleration. Best I can tell the system just starts braking hard on the right rear and maybe both rear wheels even though…

Reported: 2024-11-07 (November 7, 2024)

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles. Incorrect software in the transmission control module (TCM) may result in harsh shifting, reduced power, unintended deceleration, rear wheel lockup, or cause the vehicle to move in an unintended direction.

Consequence: Rear wheel lock-up or moving in an unintended direction can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the transmission control module software calibration, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2024. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N242471620.
