The contact stated that the power lift tailgate was lifted when the vehicle was parked, however after placing items into the rear of the vehicle, the tailgate mistakenly closed, hitting the contact in the eye. I was turning left at an intersection on 5/5/23 and the brakes locked up for no reason. As I entered the intersection the vehicle flashed the automatic emergency braking lights and locked up the brakes as I turned left. The lane in front of me was perfectly clear and the sudden stop fortunately didn't cause the vehicle behind me to rear end me. My wife and I were totally shocked and confused why this happened when there was clearly no obstruction ahead of us or reason to lockup the brakes. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at night, the driver’s side headlight failed to illuminate properly, and contact was unable to see more than 30-feet ahead of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. Vehicle having multiple stalls with ABS light on while driving vehicle been at the dealership technician tried to repair it did not get fixed. Returned again stated that it was a wheel speed sensor. My vehicles been at the dealership for over two months now with no part ETA. Multiple instrument cluster lights and vehicle stalls while driving.

23V042000 · Power Train:Driveline:Driveshaft
Reported: 2023-02-02 (February 2, 2023)
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2023 Chevrolet Blazer and Traverse vehicles. The left-side half-shaft assemblies may be missing a retaining ring.
Consequence: A missing retaining ring on the half-shaft can cause half-shaft inner joint separation, resulting in a loss of drive power or vehicle rollaway when the vehicle is placed in park. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the left-side half-shaft assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 23, 2023. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N222390180.

Reported: 2023-03-16 (March 16, 2023)
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2023 Cadillac XT6, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Blazer, Traverse, and 2022-2023 Cadillac XT5 vehicles. The transmission may have been built with an incorrect sun gear, which can result in the driver-side half-shaft disengaging from the transmission.
Consequence: A half-shaft disengaging from the transmission can result in a loss of drive power or vehicle rollaway when the vehicle is placed in park. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the sun gears, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 27, 2023. The remedy is expected to become available August 31, 2023. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GMC's number for this recall is N222389310.
