1992 TOYOTA PICK UP (V6,4WD) WAS TAKEN IN TO HAVE 2 REAR TIRES INSTALLED. WHEN PLACED ON LIFT A COMPLETE CRACKING OF THE FRAME WAS DISCOVERED ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE METAL ACTUALLY FLAKES IN YOUR HANDS FOR ALMOST 18 INCHES. THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING ON THE RIGHT SIDE. A FRIEND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE VEHICLE DUE TO POSSIBILITY OF FUEL TANK EXPLOSION. THE CURRENT FRAME RECALL ONLY EXTENDS TO 1995 AND NEWER, BUT AN INVESTIGATION SHOULD BE MADE TO DETERMINE IF THE PROBLEM GOES BACK FURTHER. *TR

MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT I PURCHASED A 1992 TOYOTA PICKUP TRUCK NEW IN 1992 AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING RUST LIKE THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THIS TRUCK. TOYOTA HAD A RECALL ON SOME TRUCKS, BUT NOT GO BACK THAT FAR. I CAN TELL YOU THIS TRUCK RUSTED PROFUSELY 2 YRS AFTER I PURCHASED IT. THIS TRUCK WAS GARAGE KEPT FOR MANY YEARS BUT DID NOT SEEM TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. I FIRST HAD PART REPLACED ON TOP OF THE GAS TANK...IT RUSTED AWAY....I HAD IT REPLACED FOR A SECOND TIME 3 YRS AGO....I HAD TO HAVE THE GAS LINES REPLACED. THERE ARE SO MANY RUSTED PART…
