The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard a grinding sound coming from the steering wheel. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact then stated that the steering wheel electrical functions started to malfunction. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the clockspring needed to be replaced. The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V060000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The abs and traction control Lights keep coming on making the safety systems unavailable. This has happened 5 times, they clear when stopped but come on again. I am driving in snowy conditions and am in danger. This was scanned By one dealer and they said sometimes the sensor malfunctions and it reset and it was fixed - it kept happening on a cross country trip.

RAM 2500 was driven and parked on an incline. Driver shifted truck from drive to park which was verified by knob showing vehicle was in park. After turning vehicle off and exiting vehicle, vehicle began rolling down the hill unattended, with engine off, while in park. Vehicle rolled down hill with engine off in park and nearly collided into house with people in it. Furthermore, there was extreme risk of injury or death trying to jump into moving truck and hit the brakes causing it to stop.Issue could harm or kill someone. Driver then attempt…

After shifting into reverse the infotainment screen sets brightness to full which at night is blinding and causes eyesight visibility to be extremely low when looking at other views to back up like the mirrors or outside the window. This increases the risk of hitting something or someone when in reverse. Instead, the infotainment screen brightness should not change. Specifically during night time.

When decelerating at transmission shift point the engine will accelerate 200 to 500 rpm with no gas applied. The vehicle will lurch forward. Additional breaking is required to prevent possible incidents. Dealer say no codes so nothing they can do issue is repeatable.

When turning on a highway exit ramp approximately 60mph Adaptive steering may have caused vehicle to not turn adequately and begin to go off the road. Lane keep assist failed to keep or even attempt to keep vehicle in lane and on the road. Adaptive steering may have prevented corrective action to prevent incident. Vehicle struck a guard rail as a result which potentially could have been fatal. No testing, investigation, or inspection has been conducted at this time. No warnings or messages were displayed.

First issue (intermittent) the light control did not come on or operate the lights in the auto position to a high beam in limited visibility. The rotation knob for interior lighting would not work and the display was bright that affected seeing at night. No codes was generated and will be going to have the vehicle check out by dealership on Feb 8 2023. Second issue the truck demonstrated a short loss of power (a low grinding was heard) in two instances that resulted in low acceleration when turning across traffic lane.

I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving hydraulic lifter failure in Ram trucks equipped with the Cummins diesel engine (model years 2019–2024). This issue is widely acknowledged by Stellantis and multiple dealers. It typically begins with a knocking sound and has been documented in many cases to progress to complete engine failure. My 2022 Ram 2500 with only 9,900 miles failed to start requiring it be towed to the dealership. The dealer reported the fuel injector harness had failed and replaced it but then it started throwing other codes. The technician determined there was metal shavings in high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) so they contacted Ram engineers and started a STAR case. After two months and countless "pictures" taken and sent the the Ram engineers, they claim it was contaminated fuel which caused the metal shavings to be found in the HPFP. The engineers stated tha…

Significant fuel leak from top of engine, leaking down back of engine and creating puddles on ground. Potential fire hazard due to proximity to turbo and exhaust. No warning lamps or messages. Issue was confirmed at dealer and repaired by replacing multiple fuel injector supply lines.
