Car has a red warning light come on that says engine control error park vehicle in a safe place. This happened on the freeway 4 times took it in to Porsche they claimed they fixed it. When the light comes on you have to stop the car and restart it. You can not accelerate. After it was claimed to be fixed it happened again but this time applied braking intermediary aggressively. The car behind me stoped in time before hitting me but just barely. Its very unsafe.

At slow speeds, the Taycan brake pedal pushes all the way to the floor but the vehicle does not stop. This happens when approaching a stop sign, other vehicles, pedestrians, etc. The problem has been reproduced. The Porsche dealer confirms it is a problem with Taycans and acknowledges the potential for accidents. The dealer says Porsche Germany has not provided a fix. Vehicles and pedestrians in front of the vehicle are at risk of being hit. The vehicle is available for inspection.

The contact owns a 2023 Porsche Taycan. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V615000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Car has collision detection and remedy system that detects for impending collision and activates braking. Incident occurred when the car in front abruptly brakes and my car detected collision and applied brakes, however, the brakes were not fully applied and would not completely stop to avoid colliding with the rear end of the car. Most importantly, the car would not respond to me pushing the brakes. I tried a couple of times in the short time before I had to turn into the next lane to evade collision. My car has been repaired six times. Now there is also ACC cruise control, which will not brake but accelerate automatically When driving with both hands on the steering wheel, a warning will be issued.
