2024 Nissan Titan PRO-4X with less than 1,000 miles. When braking to make a complete stop the 9 speed transmission surges and the truck uncontrollably lurches forward almost causing rear end crash into another vehicle. Nissan dealer where purchased said its a software problem and Nissan is working on a fix soon. Online owner forums indicate this is a known issue and Nissan has been promising a fixed since 2021!!!

Transmission jerks when decelerating to a stop. It’s as if it drops to the wrong gear and then tries to correct. Does this every time. Causes the truck to lurch and jerk.

The vehicle lurches forward during stopping for a traffic light, stop sign, etc. Feels like a possible transmission issue, like a hard downshift, but the lurch is a safety issue. Has been happeneing since the truck was purchased, and the dealer service has been unable to resolve. Service manager drove in the truck and confirmed the jolt forward. Forums indicate this issue is occurring with other 2024 Titan trucks. The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in for routine service, the mechanic informed the contact that there was a steering fluid leak. The contact was informed that the steering rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000.
