JUST PURCHASED A USED VEHICLE, IN GREAT SHAPE. HOWEVER THERE IS A VERY INTOXICATING GAS SMELL INSIDE CABIN OF VEHICLE, AFTER REFUELING AND WHEN TANK IS BETWEEN 1/4 AND 1/2 FULL I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE 4 DAYS, AND I TRAVEL FOR A LIVING AND IT IS EVERY TIME IT GETS TO THE 1/4 TO 1/3 FULL RANGE. I HAVE TWO OTHER FRIENDS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME MODEL.

Owner report 765069 · 2002-08-01 (August 1, 2002)

VEHICLE HAS STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AT LEAST 12 TIMES OVER SEVERAL YEARS. THIS HAPPENS AT ANY SPEED AND HAS ALWAYS HAPPENED IN HOT WEATHER. THE LAST SEVERAL TIMES WERE ON A BUSY, CURVY HIGHWAY WITH NO ROOM TO PULL OFF ROAD AND ALMOST LED TO AN ACCIDENT. THE VILLAGER'S FUEL PUMP BECOMES VERY NOISY WHEN TRYING TO RESTART ENGINE. AFTER ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINUTES IT WILL RESTART. PLEASE INFORM ME OF WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE. IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN COLD WEATHER. I AM AFRAID AN ACCIDENT COULD HAPPEN. THERE IS NO WARNING AT ALL.*AK
