Owner report 11498332 · 2022-12-20 (December 20, 2022)

After a weekend of incessant rain, while driving a short distance (10 minutes) , this low-mileage, well-maintained 8 year old SUV suddenly stalled, Engine appeared to have powered down and the yellow Engine light came up and pressing gas pedal didn't do anything. I was fortunately able to press the Power button once frantically and re-start it once more and pull over to the side but the car refused to power on thereafter. After investigations by the shops, it appears there was water leaking "through" the body of the vehicle and into the area …

Owner report 10692529 · 2015-03-06 (March 6, 2015)

THE VEHICLE SENSORS ALL STARTED FLASHING, INCLUDING THE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM, PARKING BRAKE, TEMPERATURE GAUGE, ETC. THE SPEEDOMETER FLUCTUATED WILDLY, THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. I WAS TRAPPED IN THE VEHICLE, UNABLE TO SHIFT THE CAR OUT OF GEAR INTO PARK OR NEUTRAL AND THE CAR WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. I HAD TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, BUT I OBVIOUSLY COULD NOT GET OUT OF THE CAR WHILE IT WAS IN GEAR AND RUNNING. AFTER ABOUT 3 MINUTES OF TRYING TO GET THE CAR INTO PARK I WAS ABLE TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE. IT…

Owner report 10950309 · 2017-02-08 (February 8, 2017)

I WAS IN A COLLISION IN WHICH I REAR ENDED ANOTHER SUV. THE SPEED CONTROL DID NOT ENABLE AND I HIT THE OTHER VEHICLE HARD ENOUGH TO CAUSE $20,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY CAR. I BELIEVE THE CAR BRAKING RESPONSE WAS SLOW AND THE AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED IN A CRASH THAT SIGNIFICANT, BUT IT DID NOT.

Owner report 11074909 · 2018-02-26 (February 26, 2018)

THE POWER TILT STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKED IN THE UPMOST POSITION WHICH MAKES DRIVING UNCOMFORTABLE AND UNSAFE. I GOOGLED THIS PROBLEM AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF MERCEDES BENZ THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM, NOT JUST THE ML350.

Owner report 10726986 · 2015-06-23 (June 23, 2015)

WHILE ENTERING THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED AT EXTREMELY HIGH REVS, THEN BECAME 'STUCK' IN FOURTH GEAR. THE MANUAL SHIFTING PADDLES WOULD NOT SHIFT THE TRANSMISSION UP OR DOWN. PLACING THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, AND THEN BACK INTO DRIVE HAD NO IMPACT. VEHICLE REMAINED IN FOURTH GEAR. BECAUSE I WAS ON A HIGHWAY, IN HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC, IT WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. EVENTUALLY, I WAS ABLE TO PULL OF THE HIGHWAY, TURNED OFF THE CAR AND ONCE IT WAS RESTARTED, THE CAR SHIFTED NORMALLY. THE HIGH-REV SHIFTING EVENT HAD OCCURRED ONE TIME BEFORE (…
