The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle started to lose motive power with the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact observed a grinding noise emanating from the engine compartment, and a message appeared that the transmission had failed. The contact owns a 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-R. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V478000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there were abnormal sounds while shifting gear. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an appointment for diagnosis. I COULDN'T GO TO TAKE THE CAR ON A TEST DRIVE. I WAS 3 HOURS AWAY BUT THEY HELP ME GET EVERYTHING DONE ONLINE. AND WHEN I WENT TO GET THE VEHICLE.MY BROTHER NOTICE A BUBBLE ON THE TIRE. TOLD THE REPRESENTATIVE HE SAID HE WILL SEND ME A NEW TIRE. HE SUBMITTED IT THROW THE INSURANCE. AND WHEN I TOOK THE CAR ON DRIVES BRAKES WERE MAKING NOISES. Recall 2024100002 for my 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 53 is listed as “Completed” in the manufacturer’s system, but the dealer’s service record from November 2024 clearly states that the recall part was on backorder and the repair was not performed. There is no later record of the recall ever being completed. After the recall was marked “Completed,” multiple paid repairs were performed in the same system, including extensive electrical and engine-related work, totaling several thousand dollars. My 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 43, VIN [XXX] , has had a recurring safety issue with the transmission wiring harness and connector X279. Mercedes-Benz said this connector can let water in, which can cause a short circuit, overheating, and a fire risk while the car is parked and off. That is why the vehicle was covered by recall 24V445 / MBUSA Campaign 2024100002. This same issue was already addressed once before in January 2023 under MBUSA Campaign 2022080010 / NHTSA 22V-533, when the connector was checked and reworked and a bracket was installed…

On July 27, 2026, while driving my 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 under normal conditions, the vehicle suddenly displayed a suspension warning stating, “Malfunction , Drive at Max. 50 mph.” The warning appeared while the vehicle was in motion; I had not received this suspension warning before the incident. I photographed the warning when it occurred and presented the vehicle to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership for diagnosis and repair that same day.
