The steering column sticks in the up position. The electric motor will not move up or down. Not being able to correctly adjust the height of the steering column is a safety issue.

On July 27, 2026, while driving my 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 under normal conditions, the vehicle suddenly displayed a suspension warning stating, “Malfunction , Drive at Max. 50 mph.” The warning appeared while the vehicle was in motion; I had not received this suspension warning before the incident. I photographed the warning when it occurred and presented the vehicle to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership for diagnosis and repair that same day. Owner report 11699400 · 2025-11-14 (November 14, 2025)

Recall 2024100002 for my 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 53 is listed as “Completed” in the manufacturer’s system, but the dealer’s service record from November 2024 clearly states that the recall part was on backorder and the repair was not performed. There is no later record of the recall ever being completed. After the recall was marked “Completed,” multiple paid repairs were performed in the same system, including extensive electrical and engine-related work, totaling several thousand dollars.
