WE WERE PROCEEDING TO MAKE A R.H. TURN FROM ON TWO LANE ROAD TO ANOTHER IN A 2003 LEXUS GX WHEN THE ACCELERATOR STUCK AND ESC COMPLETELY FAILED . ALTHOUGH I PUSHED TRANSMISSION'S LEVER IN NEUTRAL . THE REAR END SKIDDED OUTWARD AND NO ESC OR ABS WAS EVIDENT. I STEERED INTO SKID AND THEN STEERED INTO DITCH TO AVOID OFFSET COLLISION WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. AND SKIDDED INTO DITCH ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF ROAD . SEVERE CONCUSSION AND AMNESIA FOR DRIVER AS DEAD SLAMMED INTO DRIVER'S WINDOW . PASSENGER SUFFERED LEFT LEG INJURY. I REPORTED TWO PRIOR…

Owner report 11565438 · 2024-01-14 (January 14, 2024)

My 4 LO light is constantly flashing, and I lose power when trying to accelerate. 1.Loss of Traction Control: If the 4WD system fails while engaged, it could lead to a sudden loss of traction. This can be particularly dangerous in conditions where 4WD is necessary, such as on slippery roads, steep inclines, or off-road situations. 2.Unexpected Vehicle Behavior: A malfunction in the 4WD system could lead to unpredictable vehicle behavior. For example, if the vehicle unexpectedly shifts into or out of 4Lo mode, it could disrupt the driver's contr…

Owner report 10470405 · 2012-08-13 (August 13, 2012)

AFTER FEELING THAT MY BRAKES HADN'T WORKED PROPERLY AT A STOP LIGHT (I ALMOST SKID THROUGH IT), I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 35 MPH AROUND A CURVE AND LIGHTLY PRESSED ON THE BRAKES TO MAKE SURE I WOULD SLOW DOWN. UNBELIEVABLY, MY BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED AND I ACTUALLY BELIEVE I SPED UP WHILE AT THE SAME TIME MY STEERING WENT OUT OF CONTROL. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL OR STOP THE CAR. AFTER A FEW SECONDS I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE RIGHT AND MUD SLOWED ME DOWN ENOUGH TO COME TO A STOP. IT WAS A TRULY PETRIFYING EXPERIENCE AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER CON…

Owner report 11461538 · 2022-04-20 (April 20, 2022)

I was driving on I4 Orlando FL and the vehicle just stalled. Almost got into an accident. The vehicle stopped on the middle of highway, the whole traffic stopped. No issues where noticed before the incident. No loss of power before or after the incident: The car was diagnosed by the dealership and the fuel pump is bad. Vehicle has roughly 130K miles.

Owner report 11627564 · 2024-11-26 (November 26, 2024)

Constant rebooting of the Infotainment system which includes heat/air conditioning - defrosting of windows etc. I have had this problem for more than a year. I have consulted with Lexus dealerships. I was told this problem exists with various models of Toyota and Lexus. Every time I start the vehicle - it starts rebooting - then the screen keeps blinking on and off like it is beginning to start then it stops. I have disconnected the battery to re attempt. Works for 2 minutes than fails. I purchased a micro SD card for 2014. Worked for a day the…

Owner report 11607688 · 2024-08-10 (August 10, 2024)

WE BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW IN 2015. SINCE THEN, WE HAD TO CHANGE BATTERIES 4 TIMES NOW. BACK IN 2016, WHEN THE FIRST BATTERY HAD TO BE REPLACED, THE DEALER ALSO CHANGED SOMETHING WITH THE STEREO, BECAUSE OF THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE. BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BATTERY SUDDENLY GOES DEAD. CAR HAS ABOUT 85,000 MILES ON IT. MOST RECENTLY, WE WERE AT A GRADUATION CEREMONY ABOUT 80 MILES AWAY FRON HIME, ON A HOT DAY, AND AFTER THE CEREMONY WAS OVER AT AROUND 2:00 PM, WE HEAD BACK TO THE CAR…

Owner report 11331214 · 2020-06-27 (June 27, 2020)

THIS IS A BAD EXPERIENCE TO MY CAR 2013 LEXUS GX460. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY CAR LOST CONTROL. I EXPERIENCED A LOSS IN POWER AND ACCELERATION, A DECREASE IN FUEL EFFICIENCY. I HAD TO TOW MY CAR TO THE SHOP AND TURNED OUT THE FUEL PUMP WAS MALFUNCTION THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED IT SINCE MY CAR IS KIND A NEW AND IT ONLY HAD AROUND 100K MILES ON IT AT THAT TIME. AND I JUST BOUGHT IT FROM A LEXUS DEALERSHIP 2 YEARS AGO. I THOUGHT LEXUS PARTS LAST LONGER THAN THAT? I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO FIX THE ISSUE. AND T…
